Sadly, yes Mafia 2 was a flop. Fun for however long, but I'm moving on.
No way! I'll buy all Mafia 2 DLC, and wait for mods to be released. I'm riding this baby out!
Well I think we should all just move on, Mafia 2 was a fail, oh well we should just move on. Fallout:NV coming out in Oct. that will occupy my time in the fall, theres a bunch of other games coming out in the fall, so I think its time to move on.
I'm moving on to better games, as Mafia 2 has failed to satiate my ravenous videogame appetite.
How many of you are moving on?
(Random Slight on Mafia 2): GTA: Ballad of Gay Tony/Lost & Damned offered more gameplay that Mafia 2, which is ridicoulous.
I have already moved on and this is my last day on the forum.. I traded in my copy of Mafia II to someone else who might want to try it without shoving money into 2K's pocket.

Although I'm disappointed with the cut content (especially side missions and free-roam) I still think that there's something special about Mafia 2.
The atmosphere and sense of place is really great + the artwork's fantastic. I think that 2K Czech really tried to make something amazing, but unfortunately some other sections of 2K called the shots on certain things (chopped content, less realism) which has resulted in the game not reaching the heights that it could/should have done.
I know it's not ideal, but I do hope that DLC will go some way at least to filling in these gaps.
(I'm actually perfectly happy to pay for DLC and quite like it as a model, though not as a replacement for proper expansions. But the problem comes, as others have stated, when the base game feels tight on content which sadly in this case it does.)

There are always more people who vote in a poll than post, and they normally have the opposite opinions compared to those who post; those who are angry.
True.. I think that today people have little patience. The game has been out for what.. 2 weeks? People talk like they were going to make this game have weeks of play time or something. Mass effect had yes maybe double the playtime, but they also added DLC's.
I think that with new content, it will only make Maffia 2 that much better. I am keeping my copy, the world in Maffia 2 is soo awesome, I am going to wait and see about DLC's before I just give up on the game.
