In terms of cinematic brilliance nothing can touch "Miller's Crossing" by the Coen brothers. It has one of the best scripts with the very best dialogue you are likely to ever come across in a movie. Pretty much every single scene in that film is a goldmine of quotes.

Anything with Al Pacino and De Niro... Scarface, Carlito's Way, Corky Romano (funny mafia one), Analyze this+Analyze that...

But the Mafia is not as powerful as it once was, now the most powerful crime sindicates are those gang/cartel related, the Mexican drug cartels and the Central American crime gangs, they are more baddass than the Mafia ever were even at the height of their power.

Godfather 1 & 2, Goodfellas, Casino, Donnie Brasco, Bronx Tale, Miller's Crossing, Road to Perdition, The Untouchables, Bugsy, Mean Streets, Once Upon a Time in America, Carlito's Way, and The Departed.

There seems like a lot of good ones which I haven't yet watched, can't wait. I love watching movies with certain themes before playing a game which is the same theme, really gets me going.

Like watching Band of Brothers then playing Company of Heroes for example.
