is it me or is subject deltas....

okay in the begining of bioshock 2 cutscene where you follow eleanor around until you jump on a guy, drill another, whack another one away then give a blow to last person and you fail to drill him and he throw a hypnotize 3 at you then sophia lamb comes and orders you around like "kneel please and remove your helmet"

ok so what am i complaining/wondering about?...

when did hypnotize 3 get the ability to tell a person what to do and make them shoot themselves just because some loony woman said so

when playing bioshock if you use hypnotize 3 on a person or thing they wont attack you but will aid you in combat and follow you around and thats it. but if you damage them enough they become hostile and depending on the circumstances get killed because you would of lined up a headshot or you would of get squished

answers please to what new technology sophia lamb uses like hypnotize 4

if so why doesnt she just go to subject D and whip out hypnotize 4 and a pistol and hypnotize subject d and say kneel tin daddy and shoot yourself and end of...

and by the way the funniest thing ever in bioshock multiplayer is jacob noriss commenting on a big daddy "who built this piece of ☺☺☺☺" and i first experienced it a while back when i was nailgunning a big daddy from far away with the iron sights i fell on the floor with laughter

i thought the person hypnotized was only suppose to obey the one that hypnotized them.
and if you can command people i would just tell them to commit suicide

well it would of been cool if you could dispose of a big daddy that way but that plasmid may of been a tincy bit too overpowered it would of made big daddy fights a joke and made the most iconic characters of rapture like teddy bear

Because it's a cut scene which means it uses real life physics, the whole point of something called HYPOTISE would be to tell them what to do but in the actual game all it does is make splicers friendly.

C'mon guy. That was a CUTSCENE. In no game are cutscenes like the rest of the game (But Uncharted 2 =D). And if you say, that that's unrealistic, then i ask you why i can't jump on enemys and kill them when i hit them...
Because Delta did so in the cutscene. But is it in-game possible? -No!

So don't waste time witj such questions. Go to the psn Store and Buy Minerva's Den and be happy with it.

Talk about spoilers. There are spoiler tags for a reason. Use them.

Because in game it would have been hard to incorporate little things like that

I actually jumped on and flattened a splicer in Fontaine Futuristics one time jumping from the upper level to where the Gene Bank is in the central room where you fight the first Rumbler of the level ...I don't remember if it killed the splicer or not ....but I still did it

ok sorry i dont exactly know how to use them since if you havent realised im new to 2k forums and i dont exactly think its a spoiler much since i just talk about the opening cutscene and a plasmid that people already know about

It was a cutscene, often things in games work slightly different in cutscenes than they do in the actual game. I think having you actual giving orders to the splicers you hypnotize wouldn’t add much to game play and it's much simpler to just have them follow and fight for you. Pus Delta can't exactly give orders can he?

It seems a little weird that lamb could command delta when she wasn’t he one who hypnotised him but maybe it just makes the victim vulnerable to suggestion rather than making them obey the person who hypnotised them specifically.

I wondered the same thing. Wasn't sure if she used some kind of mind control (well, obviously), or if she simply used Hypnotize on him. Maybe it was a different type of Hypnotize, it HAD to have been.

I thought the plasmid that the guy used was Hypnotize Big Daddy, because it was green and I thought Hypnotize was red. and Sofia Lamb can't use Plasmids because she knows what Adam does to the body and mind either that or she wants to remain "pure," So she doesn't use Adam. I kind of figured that Hypnotize and Hypnotize Big Daddy worked like Jack's mental conditioning and since you can't talk in the games you can't exactly order people to do this or that when hypnotized.
But I think though in the actual world of Bioshock (i.e. cut-scene land) Plasmids work a little bit differently which begs a lot of questions such as did people use Hypnotize to ask for better wages or a job or used them to steal and what not?
