What do you like about Bioshock 2 multiplayer?

If you were able to change or take out anything from the multiplayer what would it be and why?

Do you think the game should have better servers?

Do you think they should make more game modes, plasmids, maps, etc.

I wanted to make this thread for us to share some opinions or ideas about what we think they should keep or change about Bioshock 2 multiplayer.

So what do you guys think?

I like the time period, the art direction, and the fresh approach to the online multiplayer experience.

More game modes and plasmids for sure.

I really like the customizable controls. I wish that was in the SP.

I like and dislike at the same time that the MP will give me a serious case of BS1 nostalgia.

There's nothing that needs to be cut, in my opinion; just things that need to be added.

I like other FPS but, they feel too generic (far too similar to many other FPS that I've played), the unique qualities of Rapture just engage my interest more.

One thing I would like to change is to have host migration or, dedicated servers. If that requires too much effort then, at least indicate who the host is so, they can be avoided when they quit and end the game prematurely.

A playlist for the new maps would be nice although, I only just bought them on DotW and the first game I played was on a new map.

Gasp! you are just full of spoilers from 'Minerva's Den.' I fired that up last night before bed and wished I had more time; it rocks...seeing a Spider Splicer with glasses and the promise of seeing advanced security bots is cool.

I love BS MP with a burning passion.

It hurts my heart that they (2K, Digital Extremes) do not take better care of the game. I know they don't have the backers with deep pockets like Bungie and their Halo Series (Microsoft). But, BS2 MP is alive and well and I would love to see it grow.

I started 'Minerva's Den' last night with a feeling of sadness...is this the last we will see of Rapture?

I like how it ripped the class creator right out of Call of Duty. (Not saying that's a bad thing.)

I wish it was better balanced though. Would be nice if Bees, EB Headshooting, and Telekinesis were toned down a little bit. Making the Grenade launcher less annoying would be good too. The Nail Gun is fine, pretty easy to counter.

Hmmm, Well I would really like more character customization and being able to become what ever splicer you would wish to play as. I would like to see thuggish, houdini, spider splicer's, nitro, brutes, but they would have their faults. Ex If you play as a brute you would get 50 more health but not regenerate health but would be fast, strong , throw objects Etc. Houdinis that throw fire and ice have houndini at much slower rate like 5 per sec or lower .Spider Splicers can crawl on walls, throw hooks, and dodge gunfire with carwheels. I would Also like to see plasmids like Cyclone Trap.Gene Tonics like fire storm, ice storm, armored shell, sportsboost and elemental sponge or storm. Also a saturnine masks and clothes and a Bouncer suit

This game IS VERY FUN to play with friends. Hey has anyone ever seen someone charge their electro bolt, then they hit you and get a cheap headshot on you! I hate those people (I prefer sniping the old fashion way with the elephent gun), I've gotten headshots without using that plasmid and I love it when I do.

You must be a new BS2 MP! Welcome to the game...and yes the EB / CB or EB / EG is very popular...you will run into it alot...some of the threads concern how to counter such things...

I must confess when I started I was doing different load - outs and always got killed by the Midgettamer, Timmer or Frenzy who all zap you in the head and then Crossbow you. So, I did that for a couple of months...gets you a lot of kills and wins but where I differed from a lot of people is their load - outs de - evolved into adding in the Grenade Launcher and committing suicide when resurrecting or quitting if they are not winning a match to protect their stats (Midgettamer never did that though). For example when ever you play someone with the gamertag ending "in-the-box" they will spam the GL and commit sucide (not Rizzo).

But, I did not reqress to using the GL! I now either use the Elephant Gun with the sniper scope or the Rate - of - fire upgraded Crossbow as my primarys. Of course with my trusty Tommy Gun by my side. Now when I get a win, I feel good about my virtual self!

The EB / CB used to be really popular, and it is a pain when you get into a game where a lot of people are using it...I was in a SOTF game last night and of the 10 splicers in the game 6 were doing it. So, I left and went to 'Turf War.'

And, yes getting a headshot with the scope is actually harder then without! My experience with 'shooters' was Counter Strike on the PC back in '03 and '04. So, when I unlocked the Scope for the EG I thought I could carry on my head shootin' ways. But, using the controller for Xbox is tons harder then using the mouse on a computer. In BS2 the Crossbox is actually easier to use.

So, I went away from the EG with scope for months, but then decided to pick it up again! And, I am having a blast! Please see my video from when I started using it again...

I have a very good idea for bioshock i think if u were making a new bioshock (after infinite) u could have it as in the campaign you play as elanour or sigma and for the online u could have all of the origional game modes from bioshock 2 and i thought of one called free mode were u can play as a big daddy alpha series,rumbler,bouncer or a rosie or a splicer and if you play as a big daddy you get a little sister and you can go around rapture gathering adam and doing what ever you want and there is no time limit like gta online and the computer can play as npcs such as other splicers,security other big daddies enemies etc and if u die and another big daddy takes ur little sister if they dont have one they can adopt them or harvest them if they adopt them you can try and get ur little sister back or go and find a new one and if other online players dont play as a splicer the computer is playing as them aswell and other big daddies but splicers can only harvest them but yeah do what ever you want and if you dont put this in a new bioshock after infinite you could make an update or a map pack for bioshock 2 and add it in that please do this and please reply all my friends and online players i have told have thought it is a brilliant ide thank you please reply.
