i played Mafia2 till today, but when i pay bruno back and it trys to load and wont like its not freezing it just wont load.
What i should do to fix the problem?

What do you mean by it won't load?
Do you have enough money to pay Bruno back?
got the same problem - freezes at loading screen.
i'm pissed, i dont like shelling money out for a product thats deffective. plus, with how many times they delayed the release they had long enough to fix these kind of problems. now i can't even finish the game.
Same problem with me as well. I joined this site just to let them know what a buggy piece of **** this game has been. What a shame, because it could have been great. I too pay bruno the money in chapter 14, watch the cut scene and then LOADING...LOADING....LOADING....Nothing works. I have installed to hd, uninstalled. Still Loading....Not to mention in chapter 2 I kept just falling through the road and floating non stop....If you are gonna release a damn game, make sure it works or at least PATCH IT and quickly....
I know I am only one customer and they could care less but I guarantee you this will be the last game I ever buy with 2k having anything to do with.
I'm the same as jmill911. Joined up to find out how to fix the issue and seen how many people have this issue. I have a number of friends who are yet to buy the game, I'm telling them not to until 2k offer a fix or update. Terrible for a game to be so story driven and not let u even finish it. Let me know if a fix turns up. Until then, shame on u 2K.

Once i pay Bruno back, the game goes to a loading screen and sits there forever. It won't load the next chapter and that sucks. I guess i payed full price for a game that you can only partially finish? Get this fixed guys this is an embarassment to 2k.
For all you skeptics out there. I tried the mission 5 times and all 5 times the same thing happens. You leave Joe at the doctors to get fixed up, he gives you his share of the debt money, then you follow the red dot to Brunos. Once your there the cut scene takes place and once finished it starts loading and never stops. Can I have my money back?

I saw on yahoo answer, to fix that problem we shouldn't rob market, but only give Bruski cars.

i have got mafia ll on PS3 and got to chapter 14 and it says loading but nothing is happening can you help

NO WAY!!!! AFTER I SEE BRUNO THE GAME WON'T GO ON TO THE NEXT CHAPTER... I WENT TO THE GAME STOP AND THEY GAVE ME A NEW CD AND STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM...

You don't speak to him.
Just take cars to the compactor near his office.
You get money for each car you squash.
BTW, why does he say (And others like Derek) that he doesn't have any jobs for you now and to try later?
It sounds like these were side missions that were removed from the game?
yes it is true ı tried it works again do as he said .do not rob the markets.. take cars to bruski and destroy them in yhe machine
I tried replay the whole chapter and solved the problem!

Yeah there is no jobs left after you collect the money from Joe to pay back Bruno. There's simply nothing you can do. I've explored all avenues of this problem and the only thing i can suggest is waiting for them to patch the problem, or stirring a fuss by demanding a refund for the game you've purchased. I to have the same problem and I've been sitting on my thumb now for 2 days.

I really wish i could help you but I'm stuck with the same problem on the PC-Steam Platform. Once you get to chapter 14 and you finish paying Bruno back and it stays on a loading screen and wont load the next scene. There's nothing you can do but wait for them to fix this atrocity of a glitch
I wonder if they'll fix this or if we're all just screwed out of our money.
I guess only time will tell
as many, i have the very same problem so i want to try the Chapter with just crushing cars but how on earth can i restart chapter 13 (i think) where i need to get this money? i'm stuck where i get the second half of the 55k $ at Dr. Greco's villa. (chapter 14?)
btw its funny to see where the guys from IS had there moments and where 2K jumped in and stopped them for purely mercenary reasons.

Just to Clarify (I'm a PS3 user btw) I got the loading screen glitch when i CRUSHED CARS ONLY and then tried again from the Doc's house and robbed a store and the next chapter loaded - contrary to what is being said. Think it is just random.
So far i've had tyo redo all of Chapter 11 and Reload Chapter 14 (1st -and probably only, given the issues - playthrough.)
Really Really dissapointing, expect better from a developer like 2K. Won't buy 2K Czech developed game again.
Same problem here, PC version. Game just hangs at loading screen and nothing helps, lowering game details, resolution or switching off SLI, just nothing. @2Kgames, any response?

it's frustrating, seems like a big cross-platform problem... I'm on ps3 and get stuck on the same loading screen. tried it 6 times with different ways of money making but no dice...

hello i have the answer. you cant rob anyone you can only take cars to the junk yard and crush them for 400 each, then it works if you had this problem and ddint need to gain any money for bruno then i dont know what to tell you guys but for us who needed a little more cash this is how you fix it, your welcome.

Had the same issue. Not robbing anyone fixed it for me. I had the crusher lock up a few times. It wouldn't open, but moving away a couple hundred meters resets it, so I could make all the money from crushing cars.

waited 5 days, to see if anyone could figure out a fix, it seems some people can fix it by not robbing anyone, otheres can't. Where are the developers with fixing the problem???? Doesn't seem like 2k cares much that everyones so frustrated. For a game that was promoted like this one was, and was as anticipated as this, they woulda made sure to have all the bugs out of the game
I have the same problem on PS3, I win the game in normal dificulty without any problem, but when I started again in hard dificulty I have this issue.
I dont know if this help, but I start the game after I update the PS3 and this problem happen.
I hope they find a solution soon.

after checking 2k games's tech support page, they have a temporary fix for chapter 14 stairway to heaven glitch http://support.2kgames.com/help/take...fia2_chapter14 they also list that their working on a more permanent solution
Well, "their' fix is what us poor Beta customers found through trial and error.
And saying that they're working on a permanent solution doesn't instill me with confidence.
They've already released a patch for the DLC, and they still haven't released the long promised and awaited "big patch" for Bioshock 2.
Thats the 2k policy. Im still waiting for a patch for NBA 2k10 to make the game playable online. Can you imagine, you are buying a game for the Multiplayer part which was part of the big advertisment and you are still waiting for a patch to be able to play it ? Soon 2k11 comes out, and im pretty sure im not going to buy it.
2k just gives a crap about their customers. And i dont really understand why they dont have any BETA TESTING. Even if they say they have, its useless. They let a game out which crashes, has bugs in chapters or doesnt even let you finish it from beginning to the end. Either they know the issues and give a crap bout that or their beta testers are the worst out there. Ive been in a couple of Beta Testings and i can tell you for shure, many other companies at least try to fix the problems. I dont mind some glitches bugs etc, but the games that 2K released in the last year are all unplayable. I really wish they will be taken over by some other company that cares about their users/buyers. I mean we keep their families alive by paying for games and they just ☺☺☺☺ on our head

Crush cars don't rob worked for me
I'm on pc and I had the same problem, as they said we can't rob market, just crush cars and it will load chapter 15.
If you review the thread you will see that the key to completing this is to steal cars and crush them, do NOT rob anyone. That will give you the money to finish. You may have to replay the previous chapter too, that happens when save games get corrupted. there is so much dynamic activity in the game world that corruption can happen from many causes from AI interacitons.
