best third player in the world

from my limited experiance im gona say duke.

I think gamesmanship has just ruined the trust.

Certain people just lie constantly on the mic when playing and intentionally try to psyc the other side out or get them to pick the wrong civ or even just to try to control the other guy. The natural response to that is to refuse to talk to them - and that undermines the comunity.

Well that and we all spend all day talking ☺☺☺☺ about eachother behind each others backs - island start - yeah right, 4000bc freeze? yeah maybe.... Adar? nah that wasnt me...

just calling it out because it is getting rampant behind the scenes..

Just play your game fair and set a good example, hopefully others will follow... I know Pointonestar has repeatedly Adar'd against Multi and I'm guessing me as well is but as for tourneys I'm not sure...

I think you made a mistake here Duke for two reasons.....
1. You cant claim to be the third best player in the world until you defend your self proclaimed title...
2. You wont be 3rd best you will be best.......Im not denying that p2m2 and morte were the Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan of civ......morte wrote half the strategies in the strat section......but we saw what happened to michael after coming back in the NBA with the wizards.....Im not saying they cant compete against todays elite but there are lots of evolutions in the game since they stopped that they probably missed out on.....

haha first, I never claimed to be the 3rd best ever! I've said multiple times that TyShine is 3rd best, IMO . Morte is definately the "grandfather" of civ. Every strategy we use today was pretty much a result of his teachings. I would be surprised if he was the best player right now mainly because he rarely plays anymore. I think he just gets thrown in the converstation by default. And P2M2 gets thrown into the mix by a combination of skill, questionable morality of game mechanics, and respect that people once had for P2M1's opinions. Obviously I have nothing to hide about how good I am, as I posted a whole bunch of games on youtube!
