I loved Mafia 1 so many years ago, and I was soo excited to finally play another mafia game, Alas, I was let down on so many levels compared to the original, that, or perhaps in my younger years I was more naive to the faults at hand.

Was it me, or did quite a few chapters seem like a side mission more then a major part of the story line?
I dont want to make spoilers, but jeeze, I know you can defend each chapter and how it overshadowed the mafia life, but I dont want a generic overview, I want a story, like a movie. That is what drives good games now a days.
one chapter is about chasing goons, another is about a guy angry about one death, but not ANY other ever, not even a sign of remorse.
and the ending, not necessarily what it represented, but the length, literally about 30 seconds?
I went back and watched the Mafia 1 finale, and it was a good 7 minutes long. It had a great narrative about life in the mob and choices you make. This game gave you diddly squat.
That is all coming from your average older generation gamer.
-I still enjoyed the game, just let down compared to the original. Quite a bit too.
