    Mafia II - Some Confusions...

I thought the story was really good, Although I personally didn't like the ending all that much... And the game was very short...

But what does suck is that there is no Free Ride once finished with the story.

What would definately make the game better is atleast Single Player Free Ride and a simple Multiplayer Free Ride.

However, Jack said to all of us on a Q&A that there is Free Roam and that he wouldn't tell us how... So do any of you know how to Free Roam in single player?

I'm disappointed btw in the fact of no public transport, I hated stealing cars all the time, The game constantly drops me outside of places without my original car, And speaking of public transport... Where in the hell are the elevated trains??? In video's we saw them going about but they're not even existing in the game, And where in the hell is the mission from GamesCom? I have alot of disappointments, 2K Czech have shown alot of cool things and never came through with them, I also hate it how I felt that I was being pushed to through the game, Mafia I didn't feel like it, But something about Mafia II was very different indeed, Mafia I when it came out took me 2 weeks to beat, Mafia II took me a day and a half.

Even with those upsets, Mafia II's graphics are phenomenal, Fantastic details, Fantastic dialogue, Fantastic handling cars, Fantastic pretty much everything, But they showed so much to us... And the final game doesn't even include the Ferrari or even the GamesCom mission etc...

there is free roam between missions. You can roam around the city and do whatever you want.

I only remember one time when the game put me somewhere where my garage or car that was in use wasn't nearby.

The gamescom mission was a side mission that didn't do anything for the story so it was cut when they decided to remove side mission in order to avoid distracting gamers from the story.

I remember seeing the train in the area from the demo. I have no problem with not being able to use it because it wouldn't feel right for a mafia guy to take the train everywhere. Also trains generally go from town to town so It would be weird for it to carry you to different areas of one city. As for taxi's it wouldn't work for you to take a taxi because most of the time you and Joe or Henry talk about the mission on the way to the mission which you wouldn't be able to do if there was a taxi driver right next to you.

I really want to defend this game, because I thought it was simply brilliant in many ways.

However, why they cut out so many things doesn`t make any any any any logical sense at ALL(besides DLC).

Why would you cut out something you have already made, that looks awesome that....I just....wow that just blows my mind.

    1) Someone asked about the Free Roam that once the game was finished can we Free Roam and Jack answered saying yes pretty much and saying that he won't tell us how...

    2) I have been dropped outside alone many times with no transport, I was always forced to steal cars...

    3) That mission could've been mandatory, But like many things it has been cut...

    4) I haven't seen any elevated trains go past me, And speaking of wise guys and what Jack said to us about how wise guys don't use public transport... Howcome Joe could use public transport? He said he got to the bar by Taxi, All I would like personally is a Taxi and a elevated rail, It really sucks that I was forced to steal cars all the time.

Its all about the graphics now a days. People put out games with 15 hrs worth of content and maybe slap a multiplayer on the back maybe not. Games put out are **** as a rule a good game is an exception. Bottom line is they told you hey guess what? we only put 15 hrs worth of game into this thing and you know what ? you still bought it. its sickens me to see where the video game market has gone its all about the mother****ing money now so they give you a half assed game then hope to reel you in with DLC and get more of your money. what ever happened to making a game that was good?

Why blame the developers? Obviously their approach sells, so why change a concept that works?

I agree, this is stupid. In dont have all my playmate's (and other small stuff) yet and now i have to do the last mission again if i want to complete the game at 100%.

The graphics are brilliant, but thats almost the only good thing about this game.
The story really sucks (has nothing to do with the mafia), it doesn't make any sense and the long distances you have to drive each time starts to get boring after 2/3 times.

Conclusion: Brilliant looking game that's just stupid.
Oh yeah thumbs up for the jail 'missions', that was pretty fun to see for a change.
