OK guys,I have beat the game.
Now before I go on to review/share my thoughts on the game,This may contain some spoilers.Please don't read if you havent beat the game.
First off,My raiting for Mafia 2.

I give this game that because There are some major flaws while mataining a good story.
Presentation:The game is decent.The story is definitely the best part.There aint a whole lot afterwords though.
Graphics:They are decent enough.I like the character models and the car detail.Buildings are pretty well too.Everything else looks as if it was developed on a ps1.
Gameplay:This game falls short in gameplay terms.
No free roam.
A clunky cover system.
Arcaic style shooting element.
Damn lag ! 2k,I dont care what you do,But dont you ever go cheap again and hire some unknown developer to **** the game up again!Thats what you did.
I drive and there is so much lag or framerate drop...I swear.
No save system.Why cant I save my cars? I mean if I wanted to take them out of the garage,and put some miles on them.Why cant I save it?
I dont want to tediously have to do missions so it can save my car!(Part of the story was ruined by this btw.I had been forced a few times to get the mission over with so I could get the damn car I wanted.Bad bad design there.)
I can go on and on about gameplay.Im quite sure all of you who have beat the game know what I mean.
Sound:The sound is pretty good.Solid to say at least.2K you did a good job on the gun sounds.The car engines.The characters voice over is top notch.Cant say Ive bonded with another game character so close!Vito is awesome!so good job there.
Overall:7.9
Now.I loved the story line.Im not gonna go into much detail,cuz I dont want to spoil it for those who havent played the game yet.
But I will say,the ending sucked.I got a few suprises where I felt Vito was going to do somthing else,but he did this instead.
It was a total cliffhanger.And WTF with Joe?Come on 2k! If you were gonna make him die in the game,why did it end the way it did?Where we all suposed to assume he got whacked?
Anyway,If your somone who's into the mob thing..I would higly recomend this game.Was it worth 60 bucks out of my ass?Thats a question you ask yourself.I honestly thought I should have got a better game.I went in knowing that Mafia 2 would be very linear and story based.I said ok Ill try it anyway.Turns out this game is overly linear.All you can do is pretty much the story.If you wanted to get cars/guns to save,Guess what? You'd have to do a mission first!
I will tell you this again.The story is defintely worth checking out.
Vito,Joe the whole gang..Just a great bunch.I found the story very immersive at the times I was enjoying it.
Basic ending comments.
Mafia 2 gives you a rich story,and basically nothing else.
If your expecting a freeroam style game its not.
You can "freeroam" while your on a mission,but you can really save your progress you made without doing another mission.

Just keep it clean though.I dont want no BS in my review.Everyone got thier opinions,I got mine.
