we all know of certian ones but what other ones do you think the game will/should have???

Uponemandus put together this list on the TTLG forum:
http://forum.hwsw.hu/html/emoticons/ico_respect.gifPASSIVE PLASMIDS:
*Agility bonus (may in fact just be speed boost tarted up in the press)
Strength bonus
Health bonus
*Pistol Affinity (don't know if weapon affinities will be singular or encompass all)
Shotgun Affinity
Tommygun affinity
Chemical Launcher/Flamethrower Affinity
Unnanounced Weapon Affinity
Unnanounced Affinity
Chameleon Blood
Brilliant Inventor
Sentient Ammo
Hacking Boost
*Plasmid Creation (alluded to, no idea if it's a plasmid itself)
*Environmental Resistance (could be secondary power of cyro shield, etc)
Sneaky Smasher
Iron Gut
*Electric Field (judging purely by some screenshots- actually maybe it's just electrical bolt's look)
ACTIVE PLASMIDS:
*Fireball (I think this is in addition to pyrokinesis, but I'm not positive)
Pyrokinesis
Speed Boost
*Iceball
Telekenesis
Teleport
Hornets
Decoy
Aggressor Irritant
Security Beacon
Catapult Mine
Little Sister Mimic
Big Daddy Mimic
*Aggressor Mimic (alluded to)
Berserk Rage
Electrical bolt
Cyro Field
Neural accelerator — a plasmid that creates a bullet-time effect.
Neuromancer — a plasmid the player can use to influence or control the behavior of NPCs (or that maybe lets the player take over an NPC's consciousness, maybe requiring the catching of the NPC (maybe through guile and with some kind of dart gun) and the application of some kind of neural interface. If 'neuromancy' turns out to be too powerful a skill it might be curtailed by making it a specialism, and might make a good character class. Could be used to redirect approaching enemies, or to guide enemies into ambushes etc.
Silent Footfall — a plasmid that lets you sneak undetected without having to crouch to sneak up on an enemy.
Visual filters: Night Vision, Heat vision,
Heightened Perception — highlights interesting artifacts in relief against the background.
Eidetic Memory — creates (in the top corner of the screen) a map of areas visited, maybe with 'flash-frames' of images of the items and areas that various passages and doorways lead to. Also, allows the player to access a large map that could appear as semi-opaque overlay.
Arrow affinity — use a bow to launch arrows at the enemy (could be a non-lethal tranquiliser). The arrows could be used to administer various drugs that could affect the outcome of an interaction in a variety of ways. The arrow trajectory should absolutely be parabolic. (Although it seems BioShock will let you 'cast' those kinds of things on NPCs already).

there are too many active plasmids there, as Ken Levine (I think) said that there was fourteen different active ones
Also I would imagine that the Big Daddy Mimic, the Little Sister Mimic, and the Agressor Mimic(if there is one)would be passive plasmids, otherwise you would have to keep watch on a timer, which I personally think would detract from the game
And another possible plasmid would be one the makes you invisible to the security system, so that way no cameras or security drones would be able to target you
Maybe water breathing? Might come in handy...
there are four kinds of plasmids. active, engineering, physical, and weapons.
^^
we're talking about requiring activation rather than being constantly on.
So you're saying being able to go around as a big daddy with no timer -wouldn't- detract from the game? Nothing would attack you. Why not turn on no clipping while you're at it![]()
btw, I know the list is innacurate, in my origional post I said as much, but it wasn't quoted.
Something that makes the Little Sisters think you're cool, so you don't have to drop them to get Adam?
Cyclorama/Panorama Plasmid— a plasmid that curves the left side of the screen (or maybe even both edges of the screen) so as to give a fuller range of vision. Eventually you'd just adjust to it and it wouldn't seem strange (like you eventually stop noticing low frame-rates and just automatically compensate). Because It's a plasmid, it's optional and the reviewers can't jump up and down on it.
Maybe it could be a Fish-eye Plasmid, and curve the periphery of the whole screen.

Man, is this post old or what?
