I hope 2K reads these boards...

...Thanks to all for the comments and suggestions - nothing seems to have worked, not even the recent Steam updates.

I won't be buying the game.

If 2K say that our cards aren't supported, the game shouldn't be able to run AT ALL, rather than run and be playable with broken graphics.

If any of you do buy the full game, do please let me know if the problems are sorted.

    Thanks again all.

Its probably best if you update your original thread rather than create a random new one.

    Just saying....

no one cares about you lame x1950 users. ATI doesn't even care about you anymore.

Get a clue and buy a 21st century Graphics Card.

No, that's not what supported or unsupported means.

Unsupported means the game wasn't coded, tested and optimised for that card.

It doesn't mean it won't run, it may or may not.

Or, it may run and be buggy or with graphics issues.

If your hardware is dated, upgrade.

You can't expect to be playing every new release with old hardware.

Don't hold your breath, it won't be "sorted", and it's not a "problem" of their doing.

Do you really expect them to release a game that supports and runs on every card ever released?

As i know, mafia 2 doesn't only support for dx10, right?
yep, change a new vediocard may use higher resolution, better graphic setting. But the problem is my motherboard doesn't support for PCI-E*2, it means, i have to buy a new PC for only one game, with about $800.

I have a Xbox360, i want to play mafia2 with my pc because of mods.

if you are really on a budget for a hundred dollars you can buy a AGP graphics card that can play the game.

Though if you are using AGP only motherboard (outdated by 5+ years) I highly doubt your PC meets the min specs of a dual-core processor either.

We most certainly read the boards - and if you have any questions about tech specs, right now the best thing to do is call or email customer service as our techs aren't completely on the forums quite yet (they will be tomorrow.)

    MOBO

ASUS P7P55D Deluxe LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard

    RAM
    OCZ Platinum 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000)

    Totals:
    1x Intel Core i5-750 Lynnfield 2.66GHz $195.00 (save 5.00)
    1x ASUS P7P55D Deluxe LGA 1156 $139.00 (save 70.00)

You can easily build a high end system for under 800 that can run any game at max settings.

With all due respect, I think he was talking about the developers. No offense, but weren't you the one that said the PS3 version was created from the ground up? A statement that was later proven wrong when it was discovered that the PS3 version was ported from the 360 version.

You don't need PCIe 2.0 to upgrade to a new card, any pcie x16 slot will work. Although maybe you meant something else or dont have pcie at all... If thats the case sucks for you, but your PC is old news shouldnt blame the devs for that.

What version of DirectX it supports isn't entirely relevant.

It's things like Shader Model, Pixel Shader and driver support that matter.

Bottom line is, if your hardware can't run the game, it's not the manufacturer's or the developer's fault.

My old CRT television can't get an HD picture, it's the CRT manufacturer's fault.

It's also their fault that I can't get 3D on it...
