i've been reading the forum and alot of ps3 owners obviously arent happy with the ps3 version, which is completely understandable. But forgetting all about the other versions of the game, i'm not too pleased myself but i think the 2k czech devs did a good job considering (correct me if i'm wrong) that this is their first time at developing a full game for ps3, sure it could be better, but no game is perfect
Just get a 360 or a gaming pc if you are a true Mafia 2 fan.
...Or just not care whether the PS3 version is not as good as the other platforms?
idc much about the differences tbh i'm not going to fork out for a pc for one game and i hate the 360, it has some good games and its not a bad console but its not for me, dont like the controller and the interface is horrible imo

i'll admit hate is a strong word, i'd put it down to personal experience, my friends xbox got rrod when i was there and after about an hour we managed to get through to microsoft, it was very complicated, it took 3 weeks for him to get it back, they sent it off to germany and said they'd fixed it but gave him a new one. when my ps3 started playing up i phoned sony, took less than 10 mins, and they could send a courier to pick up my ps3 a few days later and give me a new one. but it fixed itself eventually.
And it isnt, so get over it.
It wouldn't be the first time that the PS3 is getting the short end of the stick. This is mostly due to budget restraints, since they would need an entirely seperate development team to code the PS3 efficiently. Porting it over is much cheaper and usually works without noticable performance issues.. usually.
So then wouldn't it have been easier just to keep it on the 360 and PC?
If it was only on pc and 360...ps3 users would cry also...so doesn't matter.

Oh, I see. Well, I dislike (hate being too strong) the PS3 because my older brother had a Playstation all his life. I remember when he bougtht it, it was used and most CD's were pre-copied and not the real game, you know? I remember there was this game where you could control this sort of crane/excavator and crush cars. Then he sold it and bought a PS2 and quickly opted for the PS2 that was much smaller (I have no idea if it's the first Playstation or the 2nd as I was under 10 years old for this). Now that he has a PS3, he's bragging so much. I rarely get to see my brother as he works a lot and lives an hour away from me. When he does come see me, he brings his PS3 and doesn't want to know anything about my 360, which I try to please him (not in that way) with.
That's why I see most PS3 users as close-minded. I know most 360 users are close-minded too. It's rare to see a gamer that owns a PS3 and a 360, even rarer when they play both daily. I wouldn't own a PS3 but I enjoy playing games on one.

The Wii seems to be the only "console" not in anything. PC think they're the best, consoles are going against each other and all this while Mario is jumping around planets on the Wii. We failed as gamers.

but the thing that puts me off the 360 the most is how microsoft want even the free things like demos to be for gold members only, and bbc iplayer which is why its not on the 360. its a shame bcoz i wanted to play the mafia 2 demo on the 360 in my house

u don't pay for demo's ? ....yea sure gold gets it perhaps 1 week earlier then silver...but that's what sony does also with their PS+ store...but i haven't paid for any demo's....
Pretty sure this is why people are angry,THEY LIED AND ITS A PORT.Then they hand it off to a no name developer to Optimize it..SLAP in THE face.

probably cause the demo's u try to download, or they are gold exclusive (like the PS+ has) or they are new, and still gold exclusive for some period before they are released to silver accounts.
the ps3 version should be fine i don't think people will return it cuz theirs no grass or whatever the issue is but i know its gonna be a great game i played the first mafia and was impressed
Guys... Is the missing grass really that much of a big deal, or is there something I am missing?
The grass is no more an issue, the new base of people's whinning is now the multiple reviews popping around the internet, notibly Kotaku and IGN to name a few.
Never a dull day on here.
Yeah.. hearing alot of bad stuff on PS3... just get a new Xbox or use a gaming PC...
Look for DLC's...
