It's obvious, Bioshock is freaky. What chills you the most? For me, it's Pigskin,

And the Bouncer, just how mutated, mutilated, and realizing he's organ soup inside that suit.

Bioshock Infinate scares me the most. Such a bad move Ken. Should of went with a Something in the sea spin off then this.
seriously people are annoying me with hating bioshock for this move to infinite just look at other big name games like halo or anything else after a second or 3rd installment you need something new or it gets friggin stale. The story and characters was pretty much explained and wrapped up in a nutshell. How can you complain about a game thats not even out yet and may be the best game ever just leave ak geez.
but what scares me most about bioshock well 1 are the houdini splicers always sneaking up on you when you turn aroundand in number 2 prob the background noises
the shotgun sequence in bio1 still gets me everytime...
Probably when you finally see just how far down the path of insanity that the civil war has driven Andrew Ryan to go down. He always seemed kinda off for most of the game, i think you cant really tell until you get to hepheastus and you see that he's been hanging dissenters on his wall. Really "If youre not with me, youre against me." You know, the whole really dealing in extremes thing. Even hanging his best friend on the wall (McDonough).
The feeling that something could appear behind you at any moment.
Really? Wow I bet you peed your pants on that one huh. O dont know why people are freaking out over this. If Bioshock started out in the sky as Columbia and five years later they make Rapture underwater you would be freaked out too?
My freak out moment was in Dandy Dental when the dentist guy comes behind you in the mist. I jumped up and yelled.
The fracking bathrooms, man. Seroiusly. Anytime when you're alone in a dark restroom looking area, and the lights flicker, always get me.
TAK
Delta's drill in the hunting the big sister video!![]()
I Have to agree when you first obtain the shotgun.
All i wanted was the shotgun.![]()
When I played BioShock for the first time almost every scare got me. But I didn't jump up and yell because a friend (who also is a big BioShock fan) of mine told me that (when I got the game) I should be on my guard the whole game. That's what I did *heroic pose*.
But the scariest thing has to be that there's a guy behind you in this game... TWICE! ''You had me at hello'' kinda literally interpretated.
The doctor in Painless Dental scared the hell out of me- the one who stands behind you when you get that Tonic.
The guy-standing-behind-you scares didn't really apply to me, since I'm one that instinctively clicks when something scary happens, all I saw was a flash of splicer and then his ragdoll falling over. :U
I'd say what gets me the most is the fact that you're underwater. There is literally nowhere you can go to escape those that try and pursue you. It's practically the essence of "you can run but you can't hide".
The fact that it'll now be linked with a horribly tragic historical fiction "steampunk" game that will completely and utterly ruin the entire meaning of the term "Bioshock" and destroy the meaning and beauty of what the meaning of the City of Rapture was :B
Yup.
Oh, and those Plaster Splicers in BS1. Omg, I was terrified to go to that lower storage department four gameplays in a row it was so creepy xD (Then I learned the value of Electrobolt ;D)

in BS1- the funeral parlor in the hospital section
or really the entire hospital section
or there is this one giant basement room in Fort frolic
where its really dark and has mannequins then when you turn your back
dissapear...yea freaky
Spider Splicers are creepy.
BioShock's bathrooms are creepy.
Getting ambushed by a Spider Splicer in a dark bathroom = A recipe for soiled pants.![]()
Cohen's Statue Splicers. . those things are just. . horrid! They don't make a single voice sound at all! You just hear them rumbling around, and quickly turn around and theres one RUNNING on your tail just following you.
I remember the first time I played, I got the Power to the People machine in Sinclar sprites and crapped my pants running out of the cellar, turning around, and seeing this bloody/white creature just running after me right in my camera -shudders-
Or the gift shop in the basement where when you turn around, the 'statues' are replaced with those splicers and when you get the tonic they all 'wake up'. . luckily I had natural Camouflage, so I was alright
For Bioshock 2. . . Definitely, without a doubt, the 2nd half of Fountaine's Futuristics. . .HOLY TAP DANCING CHRIST. . . Its PITCH black in there and even with that flashlight, you can't see much. . the first time I went through I was like. . "Okay. . if I can't see it. . it aint there" as I walk through the room with the camera pointing at the floor -shudders-
Oh, and also the freaky "Ghost Room" when you use the Unstable Teleport Tonic . . .![]()
On my first play through of BioShock I got so scared by THIS (The first scene of the video) that after shooting the water with Electro-Bolt and shocking myself in the process, I simply got up and turned off my Xbox. I had exceeded my scare quota for the day.![]()
There were other scary parts too, but the one that still gets me every time I replay the game is THIS (go to 3:55 and 5:52). I know it's coming, but I think that might make it even more scary.
BioShock 2 was significantly less scary (which is fine with me, it was more tragic and I was ok with that), but there were a few moments that got me. In Ryan Amusements, knowing that I was going to be having my first real fight with a Big Sister that level totally freaked me out. I knew it was coming but I didn't know when, and when it finally happened I was having a mini panic attack. Also the first time I was attacked by an Alpha Series totally caught me off guard, and, of course, Alex the Great's lair was about the scariest part of the game.
i agree, it is freaky!
I'm going to go ahead and close this thread since it has been dormant for two years.
