I agree. If the game is an average of 15 hours, that means this would be about 6% of the game if they play straight through the missions. I think I can wait the extra three days after Friday.Although I might watch a little bit of it anyway haha.

I don't think you guys should expect to see any massive changes on the PS3 version. If there was good news, you would have heard it by now. =P Liz already said that the demo is reflective of how the retail version will be, which is fine in my opinion because I didn't have any problems except for a frame rate issue for about 5-8 seconds in the demo.
On-topic: The more I think about it, the more I'll probably end up watching this just to satiate my desire for the game haha. Less than a week still feels too long.

My addiction to Mafia is almost as bad as my crack addiction... this should feed it pretty well.
No surprise there. It's the only genuinely optimized version of the game.

The first part of a game is usually the best for me, so I always want to experience it myself. Also, I've been wondering for months what the beginning will be like, so I'm gonna pass on this and wait till release
It kind of ruins it when you're watching it over ustream in crappy quality. To me, it would be a big waste to watch it.
We're going to have a direct feed into the computer (one of the reasons I'm going that route, actually) so it won't be a "handy cam shooting a TV screen" kind of situation.
Oh okay. I'm still passing on it, though. The cinematic opening of Mafia 1 was one of the best moments of the game for me, so I want to experience the one for Mafia II myself. I guess that means I'm leaving the forums on Friday because if I stay, someone is gonna spoil that for me.
Good decision. You've given me a new point of view. I SO want to see it (the gameplay) but I want, as you said, experience Mafia II as on my own. I love GTA IV and can't really get off my mind how GTA IV felt the first time I played. Niko Bellic really sucked my in his world as an immigrant, trying to make an honest living...
Every person I shot and every cop who came after me, I felt for them. I drove low-powered vehicles and rarely stole a car, bought all my weapons and went on "dates" with Roman, friends and girlfriends. The game felt a bit detached towards the end, being a high-payed hitman. I enjoyed being a hitman, barely making money to feed himself. It was...soothing!
Anyway, I hope Mafia II will be like GTA IV. Not in the way that you'll make no money at the start then make some real bucks towards the end, as most sandbox-like games are like that...well, a standard by R*. But in the way that I feel like i'm the character. I also felt like the character in Batman:AA.
Man! I'm really stoked for Mafia II. I wish I could die for a week and wake up when Mafia II hits the stores.
*EDIT* Oh, by the way, I forgot to add the whole point of this post. I'll also leave Friday (and hopefully will remember to stay away from 2K forums) so the game won't be spoiled for me.
I have a request (: Can any mod ban me right after Friday? A week will do. But not perma-ban. Just....a week.
