Are there any?
I didn't have enough money to pay my bribe, so the game suggested that I make a run for it.
Why don't the police take you to jail?
I find it hard to believe that everyone back then either paid on the spot or made a run for it...

I don't know, but that's a damned good question.
You know, if there is a jail, it would be cool if the PS3 version lacks bars, just like it lacks grass. That way us PS3 owners would be able to make a clean escape from jail while 360 & PC owners would have to rot in jail.
Hey, when the cell processor gives you lemons, make lemonade. That's my motto.![]()
because it wouldn't work to have vito go to jail. Each mission represents a day in Vito's life. If he goes to jail then he loses that day and misses the mission thereby failing it.
Because again, this all comes back to realism. If Vito get's arrested, then realistically he won't just go back doing his mission. Months will fly by, and he'll probably lose any connection with the Mafia.
But there is a mission that takes inside in a prision. But again it's PART of the mission
I do find it odd though, even if it's realistic...
Officer 1: "Well... he's not paying us a bribe."
Officer 2: "Let's arrest him! I mean... he was offering a bribe, which was illegal anyway!"
Officer 1: "No... we need to kill him."
Officer 2: "WHAT!?"
Yea exactly, they could of though of something instead...
Maybe the police radio-in that "chief" that Vito calls with payphones when he's got a wanted level, and the chief says he'll take care of it. The next time Vito gets some cash it automatically goes toward the ticket or bribe...
It just seems retarted that they shoot Vito if he doesn't have bribe money...

Umm... Any noticed the little black circle filling with white? When that fills you are arrested, I'm pretty sure but i haven't been arrested much in the demo![]()
I'm pretty sure there will be a jail...
But at the same time it doesn't make any sense. If you dont have the money to bribe, you automaticly have to run away? And maybe you die or atleast get shot by the police. So, if you don't have any money and you get arrested by the police, you have to get shot. So ****ed up.
The answer to this question is simple. If you die, you respawn at your house.
Now, how do you get arrested? First, when they caught you, select "try to run away". When you select that option and DON'T run, they'll catch you again and you'll be arrested. You'll then spawn at your house.
Question answered. Go try it out in the demo!
This isn't GTA
Not directed at you nmycon, but for all it's best to stop hoping that it's a 1950's GTA. They already GTA'd it up enough as is. If people want all the features of GTA, bazookas and such, then try to make a 1950's mod for GTA (if it's possible). Please don't coerce 2k into ruining the Mafia franchise by turning it even more into GTA than they already did!
You could get arrested in Mafia 1 also - just like in Mafia 2 it just ends the mission and makes you restart. I think that's a fine solution.
There is a hospital. In the PC version if you use the out of bounds trick and "no mission failed patch" you can come upon a road sign telling you the direction to the hospital.
Would like to see both![]()
No then all will not be good. Have you not been reading this thread? It makes no sense for Vito to go to jail, every mission is a day in his life. By the time he got out every one of the 15 missions would be over. If you get arrested you lose, you don' respawn outside of a prison because you NEVER to prison. It's game over and you have to try again, it's no different then dying.
