I managed to play but laggy as hell my PC cant handle it, i liked the tape over the crime scene when you come back, the fact that if you rob somewhere and come back with a change of clothes the store owner freaks out and shouts THATS HIM!

    "All the Above!"

that's what i went for although i think the driving might be a little better than the shooting this time around as the Tommy Gun needs more kick like it had in the first game overall but it's still solid and if you control your shooting you can take out people pretty quick coming through doorways with headshots on PC.

but overall it's just to hard to judge how Mafia II holds up against my favorite single player gaming 'experience' ever which is basically Mafia (on PC) as there is limited amount of stuff you can do in the demo and once the full game gets here then we can start souping up the cars and playing the missions which is where it's going to be made or broke in terms of the overall 'experience' and hopefully the ending has that impact how the first game did.

so basically i think the capability is there to be on par with the first game overall but it's just to hard to say based on a demo but i guess i sort of expected this from the demo as it's mostly to get the core feel of the game with the driving/shooting and maybe general atmosphere and to see how it runs on my PC.

what's your PC's specs? , and whats is your average FPS on the Mafia II Benchmark? (i might be able to help you depending what we have to work with )

i recently upgraded my CPU/GPU and the game is playable @ 1920x1080 on MAX graphics (lacking AA = off, PhysX = off. which both are negligible if you ask me overall) and my setup is nothing spectacular either

    my...
CPU = AMD Athlon X2 3600+ (2.0ghz overclocked to 2.4ghz) (this CPU lacking my overclock is THE minimum for the game) (i upgraded this about a month ago from a single core AMD Athlon64 3500+ CPU since this is below the minimum for the game)
GPU = Radeon HD 5670 512MB (this worked miracles for my frame rate vs my old 7900GT which was horrible (i just installed this card into my PC yesterday). just for comparison on my same CPU i got a average of 8.5fps on my 'Geforce 7900GT 256MB' on LOW graphics @ 1280x720 where as with my 5670 card i can boost graphics on MAX (lacking AA = off , PhysX = off) @ 1920x1080 (1080p) and average 24-25fps for the average on the Benchmark and some parts of the benchmark i get a fairly consistent 30fps (sometimes more, sometimes less) which is more than playable)

and just for measure... my Geforce 7900GT was clearly the bottleneck as once i got that new card it pumped life into the Mafia II demo. so now that i got a new graphics card my CPU is the bottleneck now (i.e. what's holding my frame rate back). but considering my PC is 4 years and 5 months old since i built it (i.e. March 2006) i am very impressed that i can even play new games as well as it does for something this old.

(and less important stuff... system RAM = 2GB)

on a side note... that ATI 'Radeon HD 5670 512MB' card is roughly the same as a Geforce 9800GT in Nvidia terms.

    Enjoy these the most.

Also enjoy the interactions, robbing/stealing and the realism in the game.

that somewhat don't make sense. (no offense)

because if you liked nothing about the demo then why get the full game?

surely you had to like the demo enough to where your interested in the full game

but i will agree that the demo can only tell you so much about the game in general but it does give you a feel for the core gameplay aspect of things but as far as knowing if the game will live up to the level of the first one, which is basically my favorite single player gaming experience ever, i am going to have to play the full game in order to figure that out since you can't know the characters that well/story from a simple demo and there is very limited amount of stuff to do in the demo since Mafia in general was about playing missions and characters/story etc.
