Finally got the demo running, and...

At first, it ran great, had it going at med. settings just fine, completed the mission, then when I restarted the demo, it froze and gave me a NV4_DISP BSOD. Now as soon as I go out of the house and start playing, the game plays fine for 30 seconds, then it freezes and gives me the NV4_DISP BSOD. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling drivers. but it didn't work. Also, all the movies have white lines around the edges of the screen.

Ok I did that, now I played for a good amount of time, went to do the mission, and as soon as I started shooting the MG42, it froze and did it again.
Goddamn consolefags can take their inferior versions and GTFO. All my consoles are sitting in the closet collecting dust.

    Two things to check:

    Quick solutions /checklist

    1. Install the latest video card drivers
    2. Run cmd as administrator->type sfc /scannow
    3. Check to make sure you video card isn't overheating (install a program like ntune and increase the fan speed to 100%)
    4. Alot of video cards use your ram as well. Check to make sure your ram is valid by running a windows memtest at bootup

Most memeory also has a lifetime warranty and is easy to install so you may not be out anything if it is a memory issue.

I can't do the scan since I don't have a XP disk. No, I didn't pirate it, the *******s who built this pile of **** installed it.
And as soon as I click on the Ntune setup I get a PAGED_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED AREA BSOD :/
This PC is a ****ing pile of ****!!!

    Thats generally a memory error.

You download a prebuilt iso from http://www.memtest.org/

NP. Just to let you know though. If it is a problem with the ram it isn't going to go away. Even if you decide to move to the console version you should test your PC RAM for errors.

Anyways sorry to hear about your difficulties and good luck with the console version.

I'm not going to move to the console version. Looks like i'm getting new RAM.

make sure to contact the manfactureer of your RAM. They quite often carry lifetime warraties and will even ship new RAM to you on deposit.

or you send back the old ram through an RMA. It might be worth checking out and saving yourself a hundred bucks.
