Demo Won't Start, Runtime Error: R6025 - pure virtual function call

I downloaded the game off steam today and I get this runtime error and the game will not start. Are there any solutions? Someone suggested that I install PhysX but of course that will not work as I am running ATI hardware.

System tested on is XP 32-Bit with an ATI 5870

I've love to be able to play this demo, but this is driving me crazy.

Do this:
Go to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\mafia ii - public demo\3rd
and install the physX!

Try to install Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library, but i don't know what version...
Install all versions
