Can someone PLEASE sort out this rumour!

It seems OPM is at it again and they are saying Bioshock is coming to the PS3

Now I know the same case was with Oblivion with the developers constantly saying no plans for other systems etc and then Oblivion made its way to the PS3.

Can the 2K team and the Bioshock devs just come out and just confirm whether this is true that Bioshock is coming to the PS3 or isnt it?

Elizabeth - I know I sent you an e-mail about this a while ago to which you replied and advised this game is only for 360 and PC however this OPM mag has yet again made a number of pages saying its coming to the PS3.

Would really appreciate your advice!

its more a propoganda thing to get ps3 owners more excited, and potentially get more owners of the ps3. but.. if "exclusive title" contracts have expiry dates, then there is every chance that it may be ported to ps3. on the other hand, the devs are designing the game specifically with the PC/360s' capabilities in mind, and it may not be worth their time and money recoding the game to be compatible with ps3's different technology, machine code language (machine code?).

I have a PS3 as well but I know for a solid fact that the 360's GPU is far more advanced allowing the developers to give better visuals. However the CELL in the PS3 is advanced enough I am sure to handle the same hardware based graphical features of the 360 GPU in the ways of a software created basis.

Anyhow if 2K dont go and slap OPM then I am guessing it is coming to the PS3? Perhaps several months later.

Also I have noticed that Xbox has always gotten the better collectors editions of every game - looking at PS3's Spiderman so-called collectors its a bit of a joke.

its best to PM one of the devs here or hope they make a statement, but if it's true it will take a couple of years minimum.

well, they have in some shape or form. but they lead hectic lives at the moment getting the game tip top and ready to ship. they dont seem to be backing down from the release date either.
