    Main Antagonists?

Hi, first time poster, yet long time fan of this game.

I was wondering as I just started lurking around here, who are these two people that other members are talking about?

Atlas is one I already knew about, but I'm not sure who he is.

The other, a name that beings with a "T" is also someone I've never heard of until now, and I am very interested to know who these two people are.

I know of Ryan, the city's builder, is he the same person as Atlas etc?

If you could provide me with any little bit of info, it would be very appreciated.

There is Atlas and Tenenbaum, who both have opposing views of the LS. Tenenbaum is the woman who created the LS.

Then there is Ryan and Fontaine, who started the civil war. Fontaine is basically the scientist that discovered Adam and tried to monopolize it

From what I've read, Atlas wants you to use the little sisters and plasmids as much as possible, in order to help him and his family. I don't trust him.

Tannenbaum, however, wishes to save the little sisters, instead of harvesting them... Apparently she had a change of faith, since she made them what they were in the first place. Hmm... I don't trust her either.

Ryan and Fontaine... Well, we don't even know if Fontaine is alive, though it sounds as though Ryan is.

I prefer to trust my wrench over all of them.

    Wrench power AARRRGGG!!!!
(sorry could not resist, SS2 nothing beats like a handy wrench)

I'll play the good role and do what ever it takes to follow it, has anyone said anything about quick save? this game is going to need it, how else to peek at different paths :P

Another quick question is hacking more involved than press button and tis hacked?

Somebody (not me) needs to make a hacking thread. I heard that it is all done with a screwdriver, which implies that it's more of a minigame than a button click.
That was way off topic, and I appologize.

Yup, hacking is going to be a minigame

Would be so much fun to hear them argue on the radio on what you as the player should do.

Maybe the player character you control is the main antagonist. Bioshock may not be so cut & dry as to the purpose of our guy, why he was on a plane in the middle of the ocean, happening to crash close to Rapture's epicenter.

Ever since Fight Club was mentioned as a source of inspiration, I felt that important characters may not be whom they seem upon first impression.

That'd be hilarious to hear while you're busy trying to fight a handful of splicers.

This radio competitiveness reminds me a little bit of Invisible War, how the different faction representatives would urge you to tackle the next obstacle in their favour.

Regardless of whatever ploys these characters have, and whatever seems to be amiss, you can safely account for the fact that Shodan will have somehow traveled back in time and has taken over Rapture's primitive computer mainframe. She has puppeted everyone and manipulated the main villians into their, um villianry.

irrationalalexx (I think it was him) said you could save at anytime. I agree that we'll have to do a lot of saving. Just be sure you save in a "safe" place. That is if there really is such a thing.

In the EGM scans the hacking minigame is shown to be a block-sliding puzzle, so no, it's not a simple button push thing.

But wasn't there mention of a plasmid powerup for hacking that allowed you to bypass the puzzle, making a security override instant?

Yeah, both Alexx Kay and that article indicate so.

Atlas is the 'bad' side of your 'conscience'
he encourages the destruction of the Little Sisters in order for you to save his family. Tenenbaum (unless I'm getting her confused with someone else) is the 'good' side of your 'conscience' who encourages you saving and protecting the little sisters.

Atlast is a deffinate, the later I'm not so sure about
