The official Bear vs Shark thread

I don't know how many of you have read the book Bear vs Shark (I'm assuming none), but the premise is a bear and a shark are in a place with a level playing field (enough water for the shark to move around, but not so much that the bear can't move with dexterity), and they fight, who is the victor. In the book, the event is created via computers and holographs, and it's a nation wide event (bigger than the super bowl) and takes the whole country into a frenzy. Now the book is great, full of satire, and ridicule of modern capitalism and our consistant need for entertainment, but that's not what this thread is about. This thread is about posting two things, and deciding who/what would win in the fight.

I'll start.

Who would win in a fight between Stephen King and Clive Barker

if one is and the other isnt, the one that is wins. by default the pink ladies win because the granny smiths usually taste floury.

Going back to HS' unanswered question...

I personally believe VTM takes the cake on this. Though I'm sad to say I never played the CoC game, but I do know that VTM has a cult following and I've read some of the hardcover manuals, and it seems pretty cohesive, interesting, and fun. Again, I can't really speak for the Cthulhu game because 1, i never played it and 2, i actually haven't heard of it so it can't be that great

What I like about CoC is that everyone's (or almost everyone's ) character either dies or goes insane (at least eventually), which means it really keeps your head in the game. It's totally possible that it might be curtains for your character at any given moment.

I dunno, they both have pretty witty one liners. Duke seems to stick with the crude tough guy lines. Sam seems to use more satire in his.

Greatly prefer dry bones over those damn night-time skele's in zelda. Atleast they were relatively simple to jump over, as opposed to having to target them and slash away for a sec. Definitely impedes on the whole 'fun' aspect a bit.
