I deleted the whole game out of my steam directory last night and re-downloaded it. Now I get the c0000005 crash when I try and run the game.

There are so many threads of people encountering crashes I was wondering if anyone had managed to sort this issue out.

I just read the Tablet thread and have now stopped that service from running. I have tried most things like updating direct X , the -dx9 parameter, updating display drivers , updating sound drivers, etc etc etc

Still no joy !!!

About to give up with this one and ask for a refund.

There's a patch in the works that should deal with most of the problems people have been having at the game's launch. The best thing to do is wait a week or two for the patch to be completed.

Please could you post specs of your computer, including drivers.

That hysterical how the mods here keep asking for system specs and drivers. As if it will make any difference. Talk about band-aid ala broken leg. And also, we're talking seriously placation. Honestly, its gettin to be rather annoying. I can see peeps in here who have already posted their system specs multiple times and yet they are still asked for it.

Whatever. i'm not impressed. fix the game.

You can find this information by going into the 'dxdiag'. Please click on the "Start" button --> "Run". In the next box type in 'dxdiag' and select the 'Ok' button.

This will bring up the "DirectX Diagnostic Tool". Most of the information you need is on the first page, and then on the "Display" Tab.
Let us know this information so we can help you.
