Litterally the ONLY thing that disappointed me in Bioshock 2 was...

that the multiplayer trophies are REQUIRED to get the Platinum trophy. I spent hours and hours playing through the original Bioshock to get the Platinum because its easily one of my favorite games of all time, but I was seriously disappointed to see the multiplayer trophies are needed for the Bioshock 2 Platinum (mainly because my slow internet doesn't allow me to play online). I can see how adding a multiplayer mode would make a lot of fans really happy, but it actually ended up being more of a detriment to me and players like me with a poor internet connection. Best case scenario is that we could see a patch rectifying this, but chances are it will just stay this way

I can honestly relate here. When I was browsing through the achievements and saw the amount of them that I couldn't get, I was gutted! I mean, not that I play just for achievements, but not everyone plays MP. My reasoning for not playing isn't slow internet. I'm just a SP gamer...

Exactly, I'm glad its not just me. I definitely prefer a single player experience, ESPECIALLY in Bioshock.

I dunno...I liked having multiplayer trophies. They definitely convinced me to play it all the way through to level 40. I like them being there as long as they're not dependant on luck or rigging to obtain. I guess I prefer it this way, but if the next game didn't have any multiplayer trophies I wouldn't mind (if it even has multiplayer).

Thats the thing though, I'm not saying they shouldn't be there at all, I'm just saying that they shouldn't be required to get the Platinum trophy.

Instead of not linking them to the platinum, it'd be even better if they didn't put multiplayer trophies altogether. I like maintaining my 100% in BioShock 2 (and all my games!)

Yeah, Bioshock is much better as a single player experience.

Yeah, thats why I said that it was probably a good feature for some, just not for me. I really wish that they wouldn't require the online trophies for the Platinum, its fine if they have multiplayer and that it has trophies, I just really wish it wasn't necessary for the Platinum trophy.
