Thread: Who is GLAD that we don't know Eleanor's father?

  1. #1
At first, I was disappointed that there is not a clue in the game about the identity of Eleanor's father, but I thought about this issue, and I've come to this conclusion: it's better for Eleanor's father to be unknown because his anonymity reinforces the characterization of Sofia Lamb as a controlling mother.

    Who agrees with me?

I wouldn't say I am "glad" so much as that it doesn't matter much. Either way people can derive some sort of meaning from it, I think.

It's a meaningless debate that has no resolution at the moment and probably won't. We can speculate and speculate but at the end of the day get nowhere close to finding out unless 2k decides to tell us. That being said I hold firm and strong that her father is Gilbert 'Alex the Great' Alexander.

I'm speculating that either Eddie Murphy or Chris Rock is the baby daddy

This should have been a poll.

ME! I'm glad. And I think those who "have" to have Delta be her father are silly silly people.

Although I'm not on board with how it illuminates Lamb's character. I just think people should be able to see beyond 'blood relations'.

    Thumbs up

Curiosity killed the cat. In other words, yes, I am very glad Eleanors's father remains anonymous.

I thought she was genetically engineered? I bet it's no-one we know. Unless we find some random file in Central Computing.

I'm glad. It would have ruined it for me, if Delta was the father.

Because... if you were being evil Delta, you would have been trying to save yourself, not Eleanor.

I kind of hoped Delta was her father- Johnny Topside. Because when Eleanor is in the cage, Lamb talks about Eleanor hoping mother and father would lock eyes...But I don't really see Lamb, having a relationship with an outsider and eventually a prisoner. But here's hoping!!! Maybe its Wales Hahahaha, now that would be funny!

He was in the original plot, so why the hell couldn't he still be? Besides, it adds depth to the game

Well, Eleanor sees Delta as her father, though he is not.

Why couldn't be? We don't know if lamb had a relationship with Topside. You never know with this game

Sofia Lamb were to bossy and dominant to only have 1 husband.
It's even impossible for the Devs to know that information .

I'm glad we don't know. There are a few clues too who might be the father. If Sofia Lamb believed that intelligence and altruism was genetic and she was trying to create a genius utopian around 1952 (eleanor's year of birth) she probably used the DNA of a intelligent man around that time. Gil is a common suspect, but it seems he didn't know or believe in lamb prior to Fontaine's death. So again, all we'll ever know is that he was probably a noteworthy genius who believed in altruism.
