Patch Notes for PS3 and X360 (August 3rd)

Patch notes are released on TCoR about that patch which is coming on August 3rd.

360 PATCH NOTES
- Signing out of active gamer profile, then back in, then accepting an invite no longer results in a crash/hang
- Rebirth no longer has potential to reset total ADAM
- Game no longer crashes when DLC is transferred to USB thumb drive and removed before gameplay
- Opening Xbox LIVE Marketplace from Main Menu works every time
- Sound System now supports sounds in DLC packages
- DLC Menu supports Protector Trials menu features
- Support for adding more subtitles in DLC without using more memory


PS3 PATCH NOTES
- Sound System now supports sounds in DLC packages
- Suppressing partial localization when the DLC supports more languages than the disk game it's installed on top of
- Support for adding more subtitles in DLC without using more memory
- DLC Menu support for Protector Trials menu features
- DLC packages have added protection to dlc content packages
- PSN Store access added to "Downloadable Content" menu option


As we can see there's still no patch which fixes ADAM reset on PS3 and I (along with other people) was only because of that patch delaying to rebirth.
So I can say i don't like this patch. This patch was only for this new DLC which I AM looking forward but i wanted that ADAM reset fix more then anything.

Bah, basically no bug fixes. Everything's just for the DLC, you can see where 2k are focusing all their efforts on because of this. Atleast now I'll only be playing the game for recreational matters in multiplayer and the upcoming Protector/ and story DLC, after that I can leave the game be.

i cant find the post by 2k in here on this but i wondr what happens to those who already rebirthed... how will they get adam back is it that you will get the set amount added that makes you unlock rank 50 on the normal.... im on ps3 and know we are waiting for the patch but what about on the xbox how will this work for them ?

Complete non-event, basically. 2k can't code for their own game.

You cannot get back the ADAM if you have already rebirthed. We looked into it and unfortunately it isn't possible.

This patch is - same as the last three - focused solely on MP and DLC.

Whether or not some issues are fixable via 3 weeks of constant work with tech support or not is not the issue anymore. When is a patch coming for the pc to fix the myriad of complaints about the single player game?

And please don't answer "if you have problems talk to tech support". I spent the last 3 weeks doing that and it was tiresome. If I get further in the game and discover the little sisters and vending are still broken, I don't want to waste another 3 weeks expaining and re-explaining and re-re-re-re-re-re-re-explaining the issue until a kludge is found.

I know I sound like I'm repeating myself here (because I think I am.) We're going to fix everything we can recreate and can find a good fix for. I cannot promise anything until it's in a final patch list. So, as always, the dev team knows about your problems (in particular, they've all reviewed your particular case!) and are looking in to the reported problems. No need for a talk - we're on top of it. I know I am not handing you all the fixes you want today, and I can't, but I can't tell you something different until I have something different to say. So yes, it will seem like I'm re-explaining myself - but I promise you don't have to keep asking for the answer every day. I'll tell you when I have something new without prompting. Swear.

To use another devloper as an example, Blizzard routinely posts lists of known issues that are being looked into for their monolithic games. Can we have that here?

Can we hear from 2k "these are issue reported and duplicated, these are issues reported but not yet duplicated"?

The mouse issue for example has been reported here for months, but based on my experience it appears those reports didn't make it into review at 2k until my report. Otherwise they'd probably been able to hand me the kludge ini hack as soon as I reported it.

Can we be told by 2k "we know about this and that bug and are working to patch it"?

I basically can play the game now that the mouse is fixed, but don't want to get so far, hit another silly bug, and go through another few weeks of roundabout. I'd rather hear "we know about these and are fixing them" and wait for the patch.

But my fear is, if someone like me doesn't play, find the bugs, and go through more and more rigamarole with tech support for bugs that are clearly already reported here, they won't get fixed.

Hear hear. I'd like very much to see this. There are still glaring bugs in this game, and frankly it's been a long time.

Yeah but what is being worked on we dont know, you see most companies tell the community that 'X glitch will be fixed in Y time' but 2k dont do this, or thereover cant. So you dont know if whether you have been screwed over by 2k until they eventually patch the game.

If they have fixed your issue, then good for you, 2k actually deemed it a glitch, if not, and in my situation, well, you just have to deal with it and hope they see some sense. You know, after loads of conversations with tech support people and the community manager hasn't gotten anywhere in fixing it.

Oh trust me, I am not taking any sides in this. 2K has taken too long to fix this I agree. But I also think that they are still doing (if not slowly). Trust me, my game doesn't really work either.

LOL! How can people not re-post "known issues" when you won't tell us the issues you are aware of!? Let alone ones you have reproduced. No one is asking for you to say "We are working on X glitch and it will be done on this Month-Day."

We know that things change and **** happens! But why do you insist on withholding simple information that you DO have!? I can't believe you got promoted when you can't even sticky a thread for "Known Issues" and "Known Temporary Solutions"

All this MP patching and the extra mouse buttons (that are on just about every mouse today) STILL don't work. How hard can it be for the game to recognize mouse button 3 and 4??? I'm not even asking for mouse wheel tilt left and right (which is a new thing) but button 3 and 4? Come on...

P.S. if there is some ini file to fix the mouse speed (provided by 2K support), why is it not thrown into the patch!? Why is there not a thread with links to fixes for people?! We're talking bites, not even Kbites, of information that you're withholding just to make more money releasing it with a DLC. Shame shame...

Until 2k tells us what they have started working on, why should they not want us to post as mmuch diagnostic info as possible about things so they can get an idea of how prevalent their latest failure, er, bug is?

The whole "quit posting bugs" is anathema to this being the tech support forum.
Where are we supposed to discuss it? Or are you simply suggesting we contact tech support (and be strung along for weeks) rather than discussing at all?

Elizabeth, post a list of what 2k knows and has reproduced.
