about the PC demo running on win2k / windows 2000
I wanted to confirm flashhouse suggestions about the trick to get the PC demo starting on this thread run bioshock demo with win2000, but it's closed.
I was happy to find that info ( as I don't plan at all to move to XP only of a PC game ) and suggest it could be stickied with, of course, all the additional technical-legal mumbo jumbo that "Bioshock is solely intended to run on XP and Vista, as specified in the technical requirements so in no way we'll provide support for blablablabla" and "you are solely responsible for installing third-tiers files in replacement of the specified required files and 2K games declines all responsability over blablabla".
Actually the tip about getting "another" dbghelp.dll seems to be also the solution for other games that would not launch under win2k as for instance "Dreamfall : The Longest Journey".
The tip is also mentionned concerning Bioshock on slashdot
my 2 cents.

For what it's worth, I'd like also to mention that link Bioshock Win2K fix
Exactly the same dll tricks to get the game running.
The exact same problem encountered with the PC demo of MOH Airborne was solved the exact same way.
Anyone still under Win2K, enjoy
( To any mod around here, it would be nice to include these bits of info somewhere in the official FAQ or sticky either this thread or the other one with all the required warnings about 2K not officially supporting the windows 2000 platform )

I would very much like to know why Bioshock does not support Windows 2000 officially.
