Damn, and i was hoping for the "Buzzsaw" mision to take place in winter ..
here`s the overrun.

2K’s detailed what you’ll be playing in the Mafia II demo next month.

In a level called “Buzzsaw”, which takes place during “the summer of the 50s”, Joe and Henry are to take out a mob boss called “The Fat Man”.

The demo will also allow you to explore an area of Empire Bay and “type of vibrant edge-of-your-seat action.”

The taster releases on August 10 on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and PC.

Mafia II itself releases on August 24 in the US on PS3, 360 and PC, and August 27 in the UK.

Hit this up for our interview with producers of the game Alex Cox and Jarek Kolar.

Clearly it takes place in the summer in the fifties.

Why would they take a mission from the 40's where Vito is broke and just starting out and throw it into the 50's summer time where Vito is a made man though? It would throw the story out of wack. I think the dev's already said they just made it summer time for demo purposes only and it will be 40's winter time in the final game.

vito does get made in the 50's but this mission could be before he is a made man and still be in the 50's

True...although in the e3 2009 buzz saw demo denby walked through the gameplay explaining that this was a period of vito's life where he's just out of the war and pennyless. I don't see why they would all of a sudden throw that mission in the 50's in the final game where everything is thriving.

MAY BE SPOILER FOR PEOPLE BUT IT IS JUST MY ASSUMPTION.

I personally think that the mission will in the winter in the final game. my reasoning is that jack said we will spend about 1/3 of our time in the the 40's (winter).

15 missions or chapters divided by 3 = 5 missions in 40's 10 missions in the 50's.

from xbox achievement list i think the killing the fat man will be chapter 5 and chapter 6 is Time Well Spent. i think this mission will start the 50's and vito will get out of prison.

at the end of the buzz saw mission he on the bridge surrounded by police and i think he will get sent to prison and come out in the 50's in chapter 6.

but who knows

I hope not as one of the things Jack was always saying is how he loved to just roam the city. It'd be great if they encouraged people to do the same in the demo to really get them hooked on the detail of the environment. I'm hoping the E3 demo was just limited to stop people hogging the game.

Aye! Remember Denby saying Vito is a nobody as far as the mobs concern, at this time of the game. And we can surely say he's not a nobody during the 50s.

I think they made it summer so they could get a bigger audience. People like bright and happy games in summer time. They figured if they released a demo that was dark and gloomy, it would get people depressed and not want it. Personally I am a happy guy and my favorite season is winter. I would prefer it in winter, but o well.
