10 great ways to have fun in MW2

I HATE this game, but I must admit, there are some fun things to do in it. Here's my list:

    1. Equip a pistol with tactical knife. Use Marathon Pro, Lightweight Pro, and Commando Pro and knife people.

    2. After each game you lose, shout "Rape" at the end and when the winning team tries to say otherwise, say "Sorry! Can't hear you waaaaaay done there" or "No! You lost your speaking privileges in that last game."
Just constantly interrupt them and continue to say you won, it's sooooo fun.

    3. Get your whole team to run around with riot shields then halfway through the game (once they get used to it and have equipped the right class for stopping you) and switch to a different class. Do this repeatedly through the rest of the game.

    4. Make everybody on your team a sniper with Cold Blooded on. Lay down in random fields on Wasteland (or any other map with grass) and don't move.

    5. Get everybody on your team to equip Cold Blooded, get the lead, then hide.

    6. Get 5 people and go into Team Deathmatch. Follow whoever the one person is that gets put on your team EVERYWHERE. Block him in corners steal his kills, and if he dies, just stand there and give the other team 5 free kills.

    7. Get a big group together in a free for all game and stick together in a pack (preferably a group big enough that there's only one other person in the game) and kill the one person who got joined up with you.

    8. Make moaning noises into the mic. Moan the gamertags/playstation ids of the people on your team.

    9. Form a suicide circle with members of your party (Once again, recommended 5 party members in TDM so there's one other person). Everybody pulls a frag at the same time. Do this until the game ends.

    10. Get a group of 6 and go into TDM. Have everybody create a class with a grenade launcher on their primary gun and a Thumper (or any other non-lock on explosive) and equip Scavenger. Proceed to fire as many grenades at the other team as possible. Goal: Make everybody on the other team quit so you win by default.

There are my 10 fun things to do in MW2! If it weren't for these reasons, I would sold this garbage a long time ago!

It is always fun to download the sound of the "Juggernaut" and play it in your microphone.

Why? Why does everyone hate this game? Is it cool to hate it or something? Now, I'm not a CoD fanboy or anything but I'm confused as to why so many people hate MW2. Is it because Activision is the publisher? Is it because of what Activision did to Infinity Ward? Is it because of the 12 year old kids that won't shut up? Is it the noob tube? I honestly don't understand.

I didn't find it bad at all. I did, however, find it annoying at times, but all multiplayer games have those moments. But campaign was a complete disaster. One of the worst I've ever played in terms of story presentation. It was like a good summer action movie though, it had some cool scripted moments. But for all CoD games, multiplayer is where it counts. I found the MW2 multipler quite enjoyable and was very well executed in terms of player progression and customization.

I'm not obbsessed with CoD at all (Halo on the other hand...) but I find it annoying how people hate MW 2 and give zero information explaining why. So enlighten and explain to me why everybody has such a huge grudge against MW2.

It's too popular. I like to be obscure. It's a little overrated as well.

I agree with this. Although I am a fan of the Call of Duty games, expecially the 6th one, I kind of annoys me how much hate it gets. I agree that the single player could have been better (and longer...) but it did have a very good presentation and graphics. But, like Mr. Plum said, the MP is truly where it counts. I think that it's one of the best MP games I've ever played, besides the players exploiting some things like commando and noobtubes. These don't really affect me to much though, and it's easy to mute annoying 12 year olds over the mic.

I think that the exploits and the single player let down gave it a bit of a bad reputation...but it still suprises me of how much people hate on it. Maybe it's partly because it IS such an addicting an overplayed game, that people get tired and annoyed by it so quickly.

That said, every game has it's flaws. You get past them, and you see the fun in it.

I agree it's overated and more popular that it really should be. But there's a good side to that too. With so many people playing it it's not hard to find a game, and it's kind of universal in the fact that it's easy to get together with a couple of friends and play.

Maybe if there wasn't so many players there would be as many people exploiting the commando and glitches and stuff, but that ends up happening with all games.

It's too popular? LOL really? How does that make any scense what so ever?

It's overrated? That's why people hate this game so much? That's sad.

Sorry but those really aren't valid reasons.

I think that about says it. It happens when things become big, just like everyone hate(d) EA games when they were huge, or everyone said how Titanic was a horrible movie after it was gigantic. It is human nature although no one will admit it. Probably because it not something they do with purpose, they actually do hate it.

Same thing goes with some music/TV stars like the Jonas Brothers or Justin Beiber. there not bad, and not the best, but they get SO much hate because of how insanely popular they are (not that I'm saying I like them, I rather dislike them, but I'm just pointing it out...).

No, it's because their just too feminine, and gay like... I never said they weren't talented. Also, their music is a bit of monkey garbage, and their songs are always similar.

I hate MW2 because it way too overrated. I mean, it's fine, but just because I always hear people brag about it, it bothers me.

I also hate how tons of people who buy the thing don't even touch Single Player story.

    Yes. Yes indeed.

Why do people not like to use their brains any more?

This Earth is slowly becoming more and more screwed.

I agree with the single player part. You really aren't getting your moneys worth of you don't even touch the single player/spec ops -.-'

Heh, looking at it from that prespective makes a lot more sense.

I don't mean gay like that. But c'mon...

They're just a bunch of garbage.

They're basically selling sex to young girls and pre teens, and lying about it.

Sure. If it's a problem you have with the actual gameplay of it, then that's fine. But when people hate it just for the sake of hating it or because everyone else hates it, then it starts to tic me off.

    This

I would like the multi-player if it wasn't so broken, but I do enjoy the single player/spec ops even if it is extremely repetitive but since that's the only thing I like im not getting my money's worth am I?

That seems like a valid reason

The Special Ops multiplayer is the best part of the game. The random deathmatch modes etc. I agree are quite mundane and typical. The Single player was OK but so short it seemed pointless.

I rather liked MW2. I used to think Call of Duty was like Guitar Hero, just pumping out game after game, with all the same features but a few tweaks here and there (which they kind of are, but still...), but after I played the single player I realized that it's really not as bad as I thought it would be. I can see how it would get boring for some, seeing as a lot of the time you're just hiding behind cover and shooting...

Storywise, it was decent. Not very long, but decent. Obviously it wasn't as deep as BioShock, but it's great if you just want a kinda simple, fun game to pass the time. Sniper missions are fantastic, I must say. Spec Ops is fun too ^.^

Multiplayer, in my opinion, is very fun. I think it's fun to me because I don't play for hours on end, trying to get to level 70 as fast as possible. I'm taking my time, experimenting with different classes, ect. I've had the game for about 3 months and I'm only level 43! Yeah, there are some annoying kids on there, but I don't see why everyone complains about that, because right once you enter the lobby it's pretty easy to just press the mute button.

All in all, I'd give MW2 an 8/10.

All my posts never seem to be put together well...Or make very much sense...Ever. But I hope this one did...Somewhat.

Excuse my improper grammar, threw this together really quick

I have 15 days of in game (actually playing, not menu surfing) in Call of Duty 4. Needless to say, I got really good. There's a specific rhythm to that game you have to learn before you can do good in it. It had a learning curve something that MW2 lacks.

If somebody that's never played a Call of Duty game before can pick up a controller and finish at the top of the leaderboards, there's something seriously wrong with the game. It shouldn't be that damn easy to do good. All the damage for the guns have been made over powered, the game was literally thrown together based on how silencers don't work on some guns and sights are crooked on others.

Shotguns take little to no skill to use.

Akimbo is fing stupid. All it does is allow people who can't aim twice the chance of hitting a target.

Killstreaks are so fing gay. I can't walk 10 feet without being bombarded by something.

    Hardline? Really?

BS secondaries. A shotgun is a PRIMARY weapon, not a secondary. Same with rockets, those are PERKS. The ONLY secondary should be pistols

Equipment is stupid. My equipment options should be: Frag, Smoke, Flash, or Stun. If I want something else, I have to use up a perk slot for it.

Care Package? Are you fing kidding me? If you can't get a 11 KS, then you don't deserve to have a Chopper Gunner. Same goes with the other KSs you can get in a CP

I could literally go on for hours about all the stupid **** that this game is made of. Morons on the IW forum complained that they couldn't get kills in the first MW so IW ****ed it all up and made a game where once you get a CP, you can literally sit in the corner, topping the scoreboards. If you couldn't get kills in the first one, you sucked it up and learned how to. That's how it went.

Now, if you can't get kills, you must be not be paying attention and has NOTHING to do with skill.

IW you have royally f*cked up and I will never buy another IW game again and after what Activision did to West and Zampella, they can forget about me ever spending another dime on their products again.

There's my rant. And I'm not kidding when I say I could go on for hours. I'm literally having to stop myself from typing more about it.

THOSE are some of the many, many reasons I hate the game

To me, Mw2 is fun and entertaining. I don't care about the BS that it has, I still love it

And akimbo is really just a mess around thing, just like the riot shield Not really much practical use.

    Does that answer your question?
Same thing with all the people in my school. They're all CoD freaks, and are always trying to drag me into the MW2 craze. I hate CoD because of that. I mean, I tried it once, and it wasn't bad, but it just wan't my type of game. I didn't hate it until everybody kept going "Nick! Stop playing BioCock and start playing Modern Warfare!" Do you realize how annoying that is?! And then they wonder why I hate to be around them.

Yeah same here. I don't really take any game that seriously. I find it fun and to me, that's what counts.

It's not that I'm taking it serious, its that video games are becoming to easy. And when somebody with 5 hours on play time can beat somebody with nearly 20 days, it just posses me off an not want to play. I've put MUCH more work into it, I should have the skill advantage, but the way the game plays makes my skill nearly null

I can see how that would be annoying. The thing with MW2 is that players arn't on equal playing fields. Based on perks and weapon attachments, some players have an advantage over other players. If you have 20 days played however, this shouldn't be a problem for you (assuming you haven't prestiged). Perhaps your strategy is lacking, not your ability to aim a gun.

I've clocked in more than 17 days playing halo 3 (not including campaign, custom games, or ODST) and I get beaten by people with lower skill just like you. I don't think it's unfair though. Most of the time it's my fault I got killed, not because the other person was better than me. It all comes down to strategy. Going in guns a blazin isn't the most effective way to get a good score I found.

My k/d is good and I have a good strategy (patrol an area and control the engagement), but it just makes me mad that I get killed by a CG,AC 130, a Pred, and a Harrier 90% of the time. It takes so little skill.

And as far as perks, the original had perks as well, so that's not why I can't play it.

And other thing, deathstreaks. Yeah, let's reward you for doing bad, that sounds about right.

And see, I have no problem in Other FPSs once I figure out the rhythm, I do really good.

MW2 doesn't have a rhythm, it's basically first person to get a CG or AC130 through a CP wins

Oh... I know how that is. My friends would be playing MW2, and be telling me to stop playing Bioshock, Fallout, and Neverwinter Nights.

They even lied to me, and said they owned the game, just so they could bug me afterwards.

When ever they asked me to play, I said...

"Sorry, I'm too much of a nerd to play those games."

Yeah, I never understood kill streaks myself. If I was playing MW2 competitively, I get really frustrated too. Luckily I don't play MW2 competitively. I guess all the cheap stuff doesn't affect me as much because I play MW2 for different reasons than you do.
