    Over-rev!

    Hi guys,

Just through general chatter with other members i'm sort of hearing split reactions over Bioshock 2!

Does anyone here think that BS2 was Over Hyped?

The SitS campaign, the bottle dash at the beech, the IOOP membership (in no particular order) then along came the game. I am yet to hear of anyone complain about the massive lead up, so was all the hype worth it?
Was anyone disappointed? sure many people love the game for what it is but many die hard fans compare it to BS1 as a bit of a turkey.

Personally speaking, i absolutely LOVED IT!! I enjoyed every second of the build up hype, the puzzles etc (that which i could enjoy as was in hospital through most of it) right through to the game, and that didn't disappoint either, yes as others have said, its not as polished as BS1 but i loved it nonetheless!!!

I am going to add a poll because i'd love to see you guys opinion and also hear your thoughts whatever they are!

The only hype I received was commercials couldn't access SITS lack of internet but from what I've read it was awesome. BS2 didn't disappoint me, I thought it was an excellent follow up

I absolutely LOVED the game, but I beat the original a week before number 2 came out so I missed out on EVERYTHING, but since I loved the game soo much I think if I did do SITS I wouldnt think it was overhyped at all

I believe that it was fine, I mean I did not get a bottle but I believe what they did was great to the fans and it was good for the game. I could see how someone could say that it was over hyped, but I believe that it was fine I lived the SiTS and I love Bioshock 2

Jordan Thomas is just so pretty and has such a nice voice. He won me over like a little school girl. Now I feel like he used me and never bothered to call back. LOL

I miss Sits, SO much. I miss the Splicer's unite meetings. I miss pawn gatherings. I miss trying to get to events on time not knowing what's coming next. Sigh..

As for the game, I wasn't disappointed, but no game will ever do the same for me as Bioshock 1. Bioshock 1 is the game that I COULDN'T stop playing unless someone MADE me, lol.

    PMSL, made you stop!!!

Yeah I know what you mean though TBH i was as addicted to BS2 as I was to 1.
Maybe there'll be something simular prior to the launch of the eagerly awaited and currently fictional BS3?

i thought that there was just the right amount of hypre for the game although in the uk atleast all i saw were magazine based and tv advert for the game although there may have been more to it than that.
but as for the game i thought that the re intoduction to rapture as Delta didnt feel as amazing as it did when you were Jack decending in the bathosphere listening to ryans speech about the sweat of your brow but i loved how you could plasmids and weapons without having to change between the two when you are bttling an enraged big daddy

Personally,I think Bioshock 2 is great, the hype great, and that the hype WAS justified.

Also, not too long ago I once said SOMEWHERE that I thought Bioshock 1 is better than 2...BUT...honestly...after making a few more playthroughs in Bioshock 2 lately...I'm starting to thinking retracting that statement...because in Bioshock...I feel like I never left Rapture..I feel right at home...and it just feels more awesome every time I play it...and although there is NOTHING like seeing Rapture for the first time in Bioshock 1 when going down in that bathysphere...Bioshock 2 just feels like it come as CLOSE AS POSSIBLE to that same ''WOW '' feeling
