Genocide is already in Civ. It happens when you conquer an enemy and raze all their cities.
well thats not really genocide like there have been alot of wars over say like ethnic cleansing that could add say UN intervention and players could provoke it say add alot of Muslims buy missionary to a chistin state than case a civil war buy like a spy and clam genocide to start a war with them
Genocide is as in-game as it's ever going to be in the form of civics like slavery, actions like razing cities, and mechanics like culture spread.
The only thing I think could be added in this sense to make the game more realistic without it being censored everywhere would be the idea of a "resettlement policy" as advocated by Machiavelli, wherein you transplant people of your culture into lands formerly held by your enemy in an effort to either interbreed with them or outbreed them to reduce the likelihood of rebellion.
thats an idea i forgot this is a teen game so no organised killing but would be nice to see that adressed no game dare do it its ok to bomb a city to death but no concentration camps

But no joking I think genocide should be put in the game to remind every how man have discriminated each other on looks, and way of life.
Instead of censoring history, we need to see the terrible things that are ancestors have done. So it will never be repeated or joked about. Censoring are terrible parts of history will make us forget how badly people were treated, and are still treated un-equally an hated for whom they are today.
I think Sid Meier's Civilization series should take the stand in showing the world ,and letting us play through un-censored history so all, can realize horrible thin that man kind have done to each other, an accept all others. So one day if possible, We all can live their lives free in peace with no fear of discrimination against them.

dude thank you you get it everyones like the game wont be realistic if you put this or that in it well its not realistic already history is full of massacres like the crusades or the plague they wont a realistic game of human history but they wont put hitlar in it the man who created genocide fascism the jet engine sure he was a mass murder but he changed the world you just cant erase history cuse it is brutal
I always kind of considered wiping another civ off the map to be a form of genocide.

I guess to take this from a different angle, what exactly would the Genocide mechanic do? If you are going to advocate for any feature to be put in the game, it must have a purpose. Putting questions of historical accuracy aside, what function would this serve in the game? I'm sure you're not suggesting having a feature that I press a button and nothing happens past a message popping up saying "You've committed Genocide!"
So...I click the Commit Genocide button, and what? There must be something positive I get from it? Obviously, there must also be some negative that also occurs? Can you flesh out a little bit what you are envisioning actually happening in the game?
you could have say a UN option that has us intervention if you comit genocide but say the main purpose would be i guess civil happiness and money say your population could be happier if you got rid of minority and you would get money
Sounds kind of like slavery, except instead of producing production and unhappiness it gets you money and happiness. Sounds like a nice combo- whip your people for production, then murder a bunch of minorities for money and to offset the unhappiness from the whipping.
Also sounds slightly unbalancing. I think you need to come up with more for this to be viable in game.
well it could be a civic and it would add more importance to citizen happiness in the game and you could have access to it around world war two plus have you ever wonted to remove say you concour a city and it keeps wonting to go back to its owner well just kill them all money for you and your majority citizens are happy but you could have diplomatic backlash
1) If the Inquisitor causes pop. decrease, then it's similar to genocide.
2) You get -2 relation for every razed city with that civ.
3) Rhye's and Fall 6th civic:
- Subjugation
- Viceroyalty
- Resettlement
- Some nation thing
- Commonwealth

I wouldn't wait for WW2 for it to be available- genocide has been going on pretty much for the history of man.
The idea of having it as a way to stop city revolts after conquest is an interesting one. I'm not sure if genocide is the best mechanic to introduce, but it would be nice to have some way to stop the revolts. It's annoying that a couple hundred years after you took the city the people keep revolting and refusing to do anything.
how about enslaving a city, it could make all there pop points into workers

Just joking, this is a fairly good idea. But it would be better if we also got Settlers.
I can not count the number of times I took over a city that was located to close to one of my other cities, and the choice was between razing the city and making due with the over lap.
The ability to turn a city in to settlers or workers would have been nice. So maybe happy/your citizens turns in to settlers, and unhappy/foreigner citizen turns in to workers (or slaves under slavery)?
And while we are at it, it might be interesting if we could remove a religion from a city, and decrees the population as a by product.
thats what im talking about a instant way to passify a city or gain some thing like slave workers also almost every game has a way to remove disidents from the population say you are a cristion state becase you have a sate religon you would wont to remove all non cristions to get a bones thats were a genocide like option would come in.
