    MP Disconnections and lost ADAM?

The last couple of games I've played I've earned heaps of ADAM, the game finishes and the a message comes up saying the connection has been lost so I'll be returned to the title screen. Now, I earned enough to rank up, but when I check my personal stats, the ADAM is lost.

But - the ADAM is there in the Leaderboards, so there is now a difference between the ADAM shown in my personal stats and my ADAM on the leaderboards.

So - has this happened to anyway? Is the ADAM just lost, or will it be updated somehow.

Also, anyone else getting lots of disconnections? Seems harder and harder to play mp these days.

Adam is lost, you're lucky that the game completed to the point it was added to the leaderbards. Happens to everyone.

The disconnections you are experiencing is due to ragequitters or leaderboard boosters. This comes in spurts, just keep an eye on who is not in the lobby that was there at the start of the match (see recent players) and avoid them for quitting early if they still happen to be in game or something. (if you're on xbox that is, dunno what you PS3 players have or even if the PC player get a choice)

You avoid enough of them, chances of them joining your lobby and bailing on you again are slim and soon you'll be able to enjoy your hard earned splice goo to it's fullest.

    Yep I'm on xbox.

Thanks for the reply - I just thought it was odd since the match had ended and I still 'lost' the ADAM. Hadn't considered leaderboard boosting.

Strange though, i've put in 59 hours, and this is probably a first for me - maybe I've just been lucky then!

It's such a shame that there aren't more people playing the mp - hands down it's been the most enjoyable mp I've ever played myself. But I shall do what you suggested and avoid the last few people I played with.

BE SURE THEY ARE THE ONES WHO QUIT EARLY!!!

The online community for this game is not very big, you don't want to avoid honest players... if you are not sure which one quit, don't avoid them, just do so from here forth and you should be fine.

I never quit a game early (once lost connection due to wireless dropping out, but got right back into the match) and I hate it when people avoid me for that reason... only happened twice, but was not me who quit those two times

Yep...I'll err on the side of caution. I try not to drop out of games, only time I do is if the lag is ridiculous. I've also added a few peeps from on here, but it's rare that we are on at the same time.

I've had it happen to me earlier, actually. Had beautiful stats. But it was on new maps, and we were wondering if we were being considered boosters or something.

Same - happened to me in games where I absolutely dominated. And trust me - that does not happen often! lol
Played one game and went 26-2, stats updated fine, in the next game I went 22-5 and stats didn't record. Also with the next game the same thing happened. I wonder if people thought I was up to something.

    Don't discount internet service stability.
I was hosting a game last night. The game ended. Just before the results popped up, I saw all the other players "leave" the game. "xxx has left the game".
Then, the results screen only showd me on the list.

My internet dropped for a bit. Sucks as much for me as it does for others, so don't assume it is a "Rage Quit". (I couldn't care less about stats...I just what to get my Golden Bucket )

As frustrating as some games may be, it is never a reason to quit mid-game. If you don't want to play, try to wait for the game to end.

I can also imagine a situation where one may have an emergency to attend to. In such a case, it would be appropriate to exit the game.

I'm saying that you must not assume that the host is a "rage quitter". It is a matter of pattern behaviour. (And good manners...Something lost on some. )

That's why I said "void them for quitting early if they still happen to be in game or something." If their service was bumped, then they would not be in a game

True! However, again playing Devil's Advocate, there are situations where the players game freezes (mine freezes 1 in 8 games or so). In that case, I have to do a 3-finger salute, kill the app and start the game all over. If I'm lucky (doesn't happen too often), I'll re-enter the game I had started or another game. If not, I end up in the Player Lobby...Waiting for a game...

In the above situation, it is not intentional or malicious.

BTW, I've noticed that game freezes (PC) have increased with the new patch/DLC.

In this case, you were the host and your copy of the game glitched, decided that everyone else left the game and with only you left...thus, you win!

It a rare occurance, in 4 months of playing I've seen it 4 or 5 times.

I was referring more to the xbox users though, since the patch, my console hasn't hard locked once on BS2 MP... again though, it is a judgment call, I played against one guy who camps the big daddy spawns, I knew he did so I waited for it to, when I got it, he quit the game (not the host) then rejoined, quit again, and rejoined... then when he did get the suit, I almost killed him in one "visit" and just before he died, he quite, then came back... when his team was loosing bad, and was almost over, he quit and came back until he was on our team.

He does this just for the leaderboard stats, but I tell you this much, without that suit, he is a mediocre player at BEST... I don't care to mention names, but if I drop the word "blueberry" you can figure out who I am speaking of... needless to say, they are on my avoid list.

This sounds a bit unusual, typically what happens when the host drops out (for whatever reason) is that the personal stats updates are retained (kills, deaths, hacks, kill streak count, BD takes downs, etc) but the leaderboards are not updated.

It seems your machine keeps a running count of stats and the master DB, that holds the leaderboards, is updated at the conclusion of the match sometime between the game summary rooster display and the return to the lobby. If the host drops prior to the DB update the leaderboard is not updated but you will see yoru persoanl stats retain the accomplishments of that particular game. The personal stats will remain forever out of synch with the leaderboards.

It is my opinion, those who cherish their standing on the leaderboards will most often quit just at the end of the match in order to avoid having game losses counted in the leaderbards; if they happen to be the host, everyone losses the accomplishements that match.

    Definitely a "pattern behaviour".

I like the idea of jumping the "suit campers".

Personally, I find that a Big Daddy can come down pretty quick if you're
willing to sacrifice a few lives. In a team match, if the team mates keep
the others busy, I can deal a few blows that will quickly suck the life out.

As a BD, you can quickly lose it by being swarmed (players, that is). Usually,
the BD's team mates are not supportive...

Of course, it depends on which side you're on!

That's exactly what I tell people. If you want to confirm if someone "rage quit" or not, check their whereabouts after the game. If they're in the lobby of BS2 still, they most like rage quit. If they got disconnected or froze, they'll most likely be at the Xbox dashboard or at least not in a BS2 lobby right after the game ended.
