I have read through nearly all of that long and interesting "Power play" thread.

It seems to focus on multiplayer games.

But what about single play? Are the Chinese and Americans that great in single play? Or would the Japanese or Spanish be as good and as much fun?

I am a noob to Civ Rev, but not to Civilization. I still play Civ 1 (call it an addiction, but that game is so wonderfully abstract.) And I still have the book "Rome on 640K a day ". A real classic.

Civ 3 was great and I played online succession games with that for years on Civ Fanatics.

So here we are with Civ Rev and each civ is different. How does one choose the best civ to play in single player? It is a hard choice for me. (I like Spain and Japan and many others -like maybe the Greeks (don't they start with courthouse?) And the Aztecs.

Any thoughts you could share with me would be appreciated.
