i know they don't really mean anything and aren't a true display of skill but it was still nice to look at and see i was in the 200's out of 700,000 people (only about 10,00 of still playing people) and top thousand for kills and other things.
not a huge problem but i don't really see why they had to get reset...?
it was like a motivation thing for me. i'd see one of my friends ahead of me and i'd work to catch them.
idk, guess it should give me more motivation now?

That seems pretty ridiculous that they'd reset your leaderboard rankings...what were they thinking?
Leaderboards shouldn't have been interfered with. This is just what I feared would happen. And I was looking forward to Rebirth...
Perhaps it was just an inconvienent bug? I have a friend who uses xbox only, while I use ps3, called me up to tell me how the maps are, and said that his leaderboard status didn't change at all. Kept all his ADAM and leaderboard positions, just his rank went from 50 to 1 from rebirthing. So maybe it's just a unfortunate bug that you experienced.
No, at first your leaderboard position remains. Then as you play you'll notice that it's reset. It's happened to a few people already. Call your friend back in an hour or two and see how he feels then.
Rebirth does indeed reset EVERYONE'S leaderboard position. People need to be aware of this because I don't want to be responsible for a suicide epidemic breaking out all over Rapture.
