Question Limited Edition Sinclair Solutions Syringe Pen

I was surprised to see that the limited edition sinclair solutions syringe pen for BS2 was still available from the 2K Games store, wasn't sure if I was going to get one buy purchased it last night. How many other people have bought it ?, if you have one what are your thoughts on it ?

I received one as a gift. I love it. The weight of the pen is odd and it takes a while to get used to... but once you know how to wield the beast it is a fun thing to have around.

It is a quality pen with the option to refill with ink of your choice, you can buy refills at any Office Depot or Barnes and Nobel store.

I recommend it highly as something that one can place on a desk or carry in a briefcase to remind himself or herself about BioShock without being over-the-top geeky. (Not that being an exuberant geek is a bad thing) I guess what I mean is that I get a kick using it to grade papers on an otherwise boring afternoon.

I see, well thats good you can refill it with normal ink, at $35 I would expect a decent pen but its good to know that its confirmed to be as such.

Thanks for the feed back, I look forward to getting it and trying it out.

Do you know how much longer it is in stock? Or is it just a "when we run out thats it"

It will just be available until it runs out.

Personally when I add shipping/cross border fees, brokerage, customs from UPS/exchange rate it is just way too much money for the pen. I do also think that $35 is too much begin with for it.

It might be expensive now but better to get it now for a somewhat reasonable price then want it later when they have run out and you find people selling them for extremly inflated prices.

I almost thought I wouldn't get one but they thankfully still had them in stock.

gotta agree with Katmann. It's bulky and top-heavy; but I love it. While using it at work, I've freaked out quite a few patients because it looks like an old school syringe. Typically I spend about 2 hours a day charting with it and oddly my finger never bothers me after (like typical pens).

Anyway, I suggest getting the thing. Let's be matter-of-fact here, other than us lurkers on the forums, essentially the Bioshock 2 marketing is done. Why not get something while you still can rather than looking on ebay for it months/a year later and finding that it's now like 90+ bucks?

lower the price a bit would you kindly?

With two lithograpghs and three black-lights posters from the Bioshock 2 Special Edition and one big daddy with little sister poster plus a double-sided poster from a magazine; a total of seven (7) posters and lithos. that i currently have 'em on my wall. It looks Grrreat and all in black frames, maybe i should take a picture and show it to you guys.

The Syringe Pen is mighty tempting in my eyes. But @ $35 U.S dollars excludes tax and shipping...? i can wait. That's more than two of your lithograpghs. So yeah, please forgive me for not picking it up even now. However if you willing to lower the price a bit i'll be more than happy to purchase from you...no doubt.

I would gladly order it for $35 USD if I wasn't in the UK. Never ordered anything from outside the UK due to Import DUTY / TAX etc

The fact that it is refillable really adds to its worth, I think. Don't know if I will get it, though.

No offence, as everyone of course has their own set price they can afford- but comparing it to lithographs is a stretch.

I would personally say, a custom made, heavy parker pen that would have required expensive machining and paint job in a Bioshock-branded, quality case... is worth a lot more than 2 mass produced art prints.

It is a bit pricey, yes... but fairly so, I think.

Oh, by the way... I doubt it will be inflating... if anything the opposite. It is hardly selling at the current price (it's been a while and is STILL in the shop- compare to face plates which went FAST) so yeah, don't look at it as an investment, lol. Odds are if you try to sell it, you'll barely break even considering postage.

    okay how's this...

If 2k can't lower the price even just a little bit. I guess i can muster up and willing to buy it @ that price. But i can't promise or guarantee Anything. I'll see what i can do. If i can't than i'll buy something else Bioshock or Bioshock related items. Cool?

  16. I really like it. IMO, this pen and the masquerade lithograph are the coolest and classiest Bioshock items that they offer. It is expensive, but I actually do think it will go up in value over time.

I will attest that it is a really nice pen. Import fees are horrendous though. It cost me $20 and I'm in Canada!

It is if you really love the game and are a big collector. I'd definitely get it if I could buy stuff online. I'd get a LOT of BioShock stuff.
