I had that issue I just had to hold the on button for about a year, then it'd turn on.
So my mic still works I just need to hold the button down longer than usual?
Yup, the mic I had got specifically for the ps3 needs me to hold the "call" button down for half/almost whole minute until it flashes blue. I thought it was broken but someone else showed me.
