Ugh I hate how people brag about how good they are when they run around and use these 1 shot kill combos :P

Actually it takes some skill to score headshots with OSK weapons, even if your opponent is stunned by EB. You're still fighting against the ever-present lag. I think it's a lot better than blinding your opponent with IS or using TK stun on him (which is uncounterable unlike EB) and then spraying-and-praying with the nailgun.
I agree with STOP@RED.
Aiming for the head isn't hard at all with the auto aim in this game (yes, there is auto aim). Your crosshair is already centimeters away from their head when you pull the trigger for electrobolt. Lag isn't a factor for hit detection. If you hit someone in the head on your screen, it might take a second, but the shot will register.
There is no auto aim in the multiplayer. Why do people keep perpetuating this myth? If there's auto aim, then my grandmother is Gary Coleman.
All you need to do is play the game to know that isn't true. Don't make me have to create a poll to show you how not true it actually is. Because I will, I'm crazy like that.

Idk I could use any gun and do just as good but I like the crossbow so I don't know what to tell you idc what gun or plasmid anyone uses they are all different and make the game fun. You can use a one hit kill weapon tooooo ya know.
Being able to kill OSK combo users with your own before they can is how you get any good
Every FPS on a console has aim assist in one form or another. Having no aim assist would be incredibly difficult on a console because a controller is not very accurate. Computer versions, on the other hand, don't usually have aim assist due to the high accuracy of a mouse.

I really dont think forcing an opponent to stop moving then taking headshot athim really takes that much skill .. to be honest i was looking forward to trying out the sniper scope EG till i got fed up of all the EB/EG,Xbows .. people have taken weapons that were meant for long range combat and turned them into cheap close range weapons thanks to the darn stun plasmids but then again DE designed this portion of the game without considering any form of balance ..
I am honered to be arguing over the internet to Gary Coleman's grandson. Try turning auto-aim off in singleplayer, then play multiplayer. If you can aim just fine, you're a god.
It is a true (atleast with my connection). It is the same thing that will make you die when you run around the corner, behind cover. On your screen, you are around the corner, but on theirs, you are in sight long enough to kill you.
When you shoot someone, and it says you hit them, do you really think that the game goes through the trouble of checking if the bullets hit on the host's screen, then send the signal back to the player to make it show the little lines that you hit your target? No. If it hits on your screen, it sends a signal to the host that you hit the shot, and the host sends the signal to the target for their health to go down.
FPS MP games have aim assist. CODs is so obvious it can ruin your shots when you're aiming at a different person. BS2s is more subtle but it's there.
i've been complaining about this since the first week the game came out. the problem is the hip fire accuracy. sniper rifles with pin point accuracy from the hip is such a massive over sight.
OSK weapons take a little more skill since you need to aim at a specific spot, but once you have it down it's domination. when you run into a person who is really good with the combo, you need to either flank them or pull off something clutch to win it. tk and bees are about your best defense against it.
Just faced a full team of 5 abusing this combo which was friggin annoying .. they kept spamming EB at me 2 to 3 times b4 taking a shot at my head just to keep me in place .. any1 who still says this combo takes a huge amount of skill is an idiot...
So we've established that there absolutely is no Auto Aim in Bioshock 2. Can we stop hearing this myth crop up every few days then now?
Exactly! It's the skill of being able to EB-EG someone else before they EB-EG you! Or EB-CB if that's what you're using.
And let's face it, once you start playing the high-rankers, it's mostly all EB-OSK everywhere you go. That's just the way the game is...it's Bioshock, baby.
I don't think anyone is going to contend it takes a huge amount of skill... but thanks for playing!

haha you got me SO many times with the geyser traps lol at least i got 2 big daddy takedowns in that one match
Yeah... was a little harsh about that >.>
It was a shame we didn't actually play together :l
I'm honestly not sure. There is an option to turn "Aim-Assist" on or off for the Single-Player campaign, but no such option in the Multiplayer settings. Does that mean it wasn't implemented in the MP. My guess would be it wasn't.
Just as there's Aim-Assist in Battlefield: BC 2's single-player campaign but no such option in it's multiplayer.
Why isn't it optional? And why is it that playing the multiplayer feels exactly like playing the Single-Player with the option for Aim-Assist set to Off?
Maybe I'm just not grasping what Aim-Assist does, can someone clearly explain it for me. I'm the one controlling the targeting reticle, the computer doesn't assist me. And it doesn't move the targeting reticle precisely on top of my enemy as soon as I get it close enough to him. So how does it help?
And as far as playing a FPS on a PC as opposed to a console, PC gamers will always have the upper hand there. Using a mouse to aim and using a controller to aim aren't even remotely comparable. A mouse is exceedingly more precise and easy to aim with.
EB+EG and EB+CB is BY FAR the most frustrating combo in the game. Pretty much almost every level 50 I've encountered is either a huge GL spammer or uses EB+EG or EB+CB. every. single. one.
I've attempted the IS+NG combo and I find it extremely unsuccessful. The NG just takes too long to kill, people can definitely kill me before I'm able to kill them.
I'm proud to say I use EB frequently. It's certainly an assist to headshots, but I don't need it to preform one. As for dealing with fellow EBers, I use Aero Dash.
I do agree with Althea. I pretty much only use EB and CB. There are times when I use other loadouts, but the for the most part I use loadout one (EG and CB).
Yes, it is frustrating to go against someone with the combo, but it's not so overpowered that it can't be taken out. Besides, what happened to good ol' stealth and flanking? If you know someone is using it, just get the drop on them and you can usually kill them before they can do anything. If they do hit you with electro-bolt, it only screws you over if you're using the Nail Gun since it'll short it out and you have to rev it up yet again.
It's not overly broken or out of balance. I think it's fine. I use it maybe.. 40% of the time. But once I get the photo bonus, I just generally snipe with the crossbow by itself after that.
It is overpowered if spammed . ive had some people use it on me 2 to 3 times b4 taking a shot at me but when they run out of eve and fire the EG alone they cant shoot for crap , its easier to force a target to stop and kill it than killing a moving target .. Stealth and flanking doesnt do much if Eb/Egers stick together and theres little you can do while you're completely stunned .. ESPECIALLY when theres 4 of em surrounding a big daddy and ALL of them HAVE resurrection and death trap ! BELIEVE ME IT IS A PAIN !!!
Of course it's not..after all, this is BIOSHOCK we're playing, home of the Electro-stun.
What I hate is when someone stuns you two or three times in a row..and then doesn't follow it up with anything. I don't understand that phenomenon but I've had it done to me on numerous occassions: The person will stun me, wait til I come out of it, stun me again, wait til I come out of it, then stun me a third time. And then he just sits there, perhaps expecting me to fall dead? I simply don't know.
i will respectfully disagree here. the hip fire accuracy is why this combo is so insane. that, and the fact you can just run around with the reticle at head level to further make use of it.
i still say it was a major over sight. the accuracy for hip firing at least the elephant gun should be the size of the shotgun circle.
the pistols accuracy makes sense since it's a pistol, it's light weight. they're usually hip accurate in any game.
for some reason there are only 2 other guns that are super accurate, the OSK weapons. if the reticle was even slightly bigger this combo wouldn't be as dominant. as it is, the thing is perfectly sized to fit your head in.
I kinda agree with you . Even in the case of other FPS sniper-type weapons usually either have larger cross-hairs or none at all without aiming downsight . Sure people say aiming downsight is useless in this game but i find it quite useful with the MG for picking off or harrassing distant targets .
Happens all the time to me. It's absurd. I can practically have the barrel of my EG to a guy's forehead, pull the trigger and the game doesn't register it as a headshot. And I'm not exagerrating by any stretch, that's how bad the hit detection is (because of the lag I'm assuming. Or it's just lousy net-coding).
