Exclamation X-Fi Crackling static noises in Full vers... anyone else?

I have a X-fi Fatality card and in the demo I had NO prblems with Sound or crackling. Now i purchased the full ver through steam, and I set the sound to 5.1 Eax offf (or else it crashes) and i get constant crackling and static noises. doesnt effect peroformance but is Hella Anooying! Anyone have this issue!? I have Creative Alchemy and Windows Vista 32 bit. Im going to manually convert the sound through The alchemy app and see what happens...

Are you using the realtek onboard sound card? because I had the same problem with that card so I bought a x-fi gamer card yesterday and it it works like a charm.

I only get sound issues when playing the game in Vista. In XP it works like a charm.

Yeah I'm guessing its a Vista Problem but TBH it doesn't bother me that much but would be nice if it was fixed.

    It is..

..a common X-Fi problem. It seems to be most problematic on boards with nVidia chipsets.
