    Failed 2K Phone Support?

    So I just got off the phone talking to some 2K support guy after 30 minutes of being on hold. Basically, I explained my situation with the activations, and he just told me they have no solution for transferring activations to a third PC as of now although they are trying to come up with a solution. The entire manual unlock/activation situation is broken. Great.

    I've created this thread so people could discuss their stories with contacting 2K support, since I've heard varied replies (no one answering, telling to email pictures.) Anyone having any luck?

    Im slightly dubious if youre telling the truth :/ wouldnt 2k HAVE to have made an announcement if that were the case? And some people claim to be reinstalling it like nobodies business all over the place with no problems?

    You are allowed 2 ACTIVE activations AT ONE TIME.

    Once you uninstall properly on 1 machine, then you will be able to reinstall on the same machine or clean install on a different machine.

    No, you're all getting the wrong idea. I've personally tested this myself.

    the activation WORKS if its on the same PC. (reinstalling/uninstalling)

    the activation DOESN'T WORK if you try to uninstall it to get a 'credit' back for a third PC.

    thanks for letting us know!

    I hope they come with a good solution on that soon! My new rig is coming soon and I already installed once (which should leave me one install if I am lucky)
