LOL, I'm amazed anyone responded. Considering how badly the game was botched, I just figured any company that would make such a hateful, poorly made port without addressing a game killing bug 3 months after it's release, would most likely delete any criticism immediately, rather then allow it to stand, or (god-forbid) actually address the problem and fix it.

I tried out all of the fixes that existed at the time, and eventually just broke down and bought the game for the 360. I never tried multiplayer. The Single Player game worked just fine, I guess that 4 months was long enough to finally iron out any issues the 360 version had. My issues with BioShock2 really hurt my feelings towards the game, but the gameplay brought me back in. I plan on buying Infinity... although probably for the consoles and not the PC.

People keep talking about how Piracy is killing the PC Gaming market, really, that couldn't be further from the truth. It's these poorly designed ports that hurt it substantly. You can't buy a PC Game and expect it to just work out of the box. Dispite being superior hardware with loads of resources, most companies just can't seem to put out a stable engine. Even those that get a good engine, like the Unreal engine, can still botch things up with hasty programming and low quality checks.

To make matters worse, paranoia over piracy keeps leading companies to take on more and more copy-right protection, which itself, can be very buggy. I've had games that didn't work, not because the game had a problem, but simply because the copy-protection had a bug and refused to load. I lost my game of Sam and Max, 3 episodes into the box set, because my system was no longer recognized as legitimate. I ended up playing out the rest of the series on the 360.

I really do hate joysticks and gamepads. They are NOT how a 1st person shooter was meant to be played. But that's what I'm forced to do, because I've learned the hard way, PC Gaming is just a mess.

My mother, in a rare turn of events, bought me the Collectors Edition of Bioshock 2 for my birthday, for the PC. This wondrous gift though was FOREVER STAINED by your 360 PORT!

The game died just after the first cutscene, right before I was actually able to play. And even after spending a painful 3 nights, and 9 hours trying to fix it, I have *YET* to be able to play the game my mother spent $100 on! Well I do enjoy the lovely vinyl record, you have *YET* to release any kind of patch to fix this problem, in the last 10 weeks since I got the game. Even with the new patch, it still crashes AT EXACTLY THE SAME PLACE AS IT DID ON RELEASE DAY! And since you can't return a PC game, or even sell it, the only way I'm *EVER* going to get to play BioShock 2 is to rebuy the game for another console.
it was my birthday present too... and i got ☺☺☺☺ on since it's the pc version and they won't fix it it.
