    Bioshock, the TV series?

Ok, so I've been watching alot of Lost and also a new series called The Prisoner (which is a remake) and I was wondering if anyone would want a TV series?

I think it could work, especially with all the different characters within Rapture...

Although I would rather see a full action film but what does everyone else think?

i think a tv series would do better that a movie, granted only 2 or 3 seasons. a series can show alot more of rapture and her citizens, crazy, or not.

the question is, would it be set after the fall or before it, or heck even during the civil war

also those 2-3 seasons should only be like 10-12 episodes long.

It wouldn't make it. The ratings wouldnt keep the show alive. It would be cancelled after the first three episodes for sure. Its a Stupid idea anyway.

I think a sitcom would be interesting. Hey, they're doing it with Star Wars.

EDIT: Disregard the above... Actually, I recommend reading the article.

    What about a mockumentary?

Its hard to think how they could redo 'The Prisoner' (if its the same thing as what Patrick McGoohan did all those years ago) without botching it -- making it only a glitzy shadow.

I hadn't seen the original but it looks promising, it's got Ian McEllen on it (Gandalf).

Ok so this thread was just a bit of fun really and overall I would prefer an intense and spooky film with decent actors and good effects.

But a tv series would b able to include alot of characters and sub plots...

It would ruin Bioshock. All kinds of new things and scenarios would be written in and there would be a struggle for new material, just as there always is with sitcoms. It would get boring and to those who aren't fans, they'd watch a couple of episodes and move on. I don't think there are enough fans out there that would be able to keep ratings up on their own. Especially considering we're spread out all over the world.

I think a movie would be more appreciated than a tv series, i think ideas within a tv series dwindle rather quick.

I really don't know about a T.V. series.. Maybe a miniseries would be better, either that or it just a single movie.

I would like to see a movie of Bioshock. This would satisfy the needs of us Bioshock fans (provided we got a decent script and cast, Tom Cruise need not apply). A television show broadcast on the networks would be devoid of a lot of the violence and language.
If it was on Showtime or HBO that would solve that problem. If Sci Fi did a miniseries I would go ahead and take Tasha Denu's shotgun and take them out, Mega Piranha anyone? Sci Fi can't do a decent show to save it's life. But I agree there would be a point when the story ideas would run out or become problematic for a series.
