    Bioshock

Just curious, i am playing through this game and can't help wondering if i really missed much by not playing the first bioshock? I played it awhile ago, but only for a short time...i don't think i had gotten more than one kill on a big daddy before i sold the system.

The story is really interesting in this one and playing as delta is awesome, but is there anything that i just won't understand in this game because i never played the first one?

Na, the second game is pretty much accesible to new players.

You are missing out on a lot. In fact, just by playing the game you've risked almost ruining the story for the first one. I would stop immediately and play the first one on easy quickly. Either that, or at the bare minimum... look up the plot summary on wikipedia or something, lol.

meh, too me i had to play most of the audio diaries to make the tie in's from the first and looking at the walls and such. Yes it is a stand alone game but the easter eggs and subtle details from the first really added to my experience. Subject WYK was one of my fav slight details.

MP ending was also a good homage

You do miss out a lot because there are characters from the first one present in the second one. Although, it's a separate story from the first one, so story-wise, you're not missing anything. But it'd be best if you played the first one first.

I agree, a lot of things don't make sense unless you've played through the original game.
