    Perhaps we'll get a movie after BS3

The director attached to directing Universal's Bioshock, has begun casting for another film. This sadly mean that the Bioshock film is officially on-hold, save for a new director announcement.

So, chances are the studio won't be interested in forking out the 80 plus million it's going to cost to effectively pull of Rapture until public interest is renewed....I.E. another game so they can tie in all the marketing efforts.

    Le sigh....

Bioshock 3 is something that I don't think should exist, even Bioshock 2 is pushing it.

I would say that the next Bioshock game will probably come out around the same time as the film, in order to promote both.

If that is the case, then I also think the next BS game will take place within Rapture, as the film surely will be... it would make sense...

As i said over 9 thosuand times on various other threads,Bioshock movie is a big NO for me.This just won't work,no matter how hard you try.Bioshock is a game, and as game it's perfect,a movie would screw it up.Full of CGI,crappy actors, most likely would be PG-13.All modern Sci-fi movies are like this.

Also, why would you want to see a movie if you've already played the game?

    Ughh...
I hope not. Video game movies never work well, and they help to guide the plots for future games.

    Movies from games:

    -Final Fantasy
    -Tomb Raider
    -Max Payne
    -Mortal Kombat
    -Uncharted (recently announced)

Why would they make a movie for a game that they are still making? Game based movies should be made as a tribute to popular games, not to make a quick buck and suck the fans of their hard earned money.

Has a BioShock 3 even been confirmed yet? Or is it just something you guys hope might happen?

IF they make a movie then they should just make it a viral movie not a full blown cinematic. That way fans will be happy and they will not loose out on millions of dollars if it fails.
