If you were a little sister which Big Daddy would you rather have to protect you? Rumbler, Rosie, Alpha Series, Or Bouncers. I'd go with the Rosies because their aim is just about perfect.

Personally, I would choose either the Rumbler or Bouncer. The Rumbler because of the grenade launcher he carries and the Bouncer because of the drill and shoulder dash ability.
either a alpha series,bouncer or rumbler.

umm a Rosie is the one with the grenades but he throws them. A Rumbler throws shoots/throws (i forget) miniturrents and shoots missiles.Originally Posted by Shades

Personally i would want an Alpha series but since they are EXTREMELY easy to beat, i would go with Rosie, i always find them the hardest
I would go for Rumbler, since against groups of splicers 1 missle roasts em all
alpha, they can use multiple weapons and plasmids
who would want an alpha as your protector? there insane. he is likely to eat your leg for breakfast and pat you on the head for staying still
Rumbler, i love the rosie more but let's face it. The only reason we found it hard is because it excels against small groups or single targets.
When it comes to large groups of splicers, Rosie is going to die pretty quick
The rumbler however, Bang, and the the splicers are gone
I voted Rumbler, because I think he has the softest hands.
The rumbler really is the most impractical if you think about it. A giant donkey kong looking barrell on his shoulder that shoots grenades? And he deploys mini turrest everywhere? It's amazing that he doesn't blow up his little sister. That and the fact that he's practically useless in close-range battle.
Realistically, the Rosie should be the most effective and versatile big daddy when it comes to doing what it was designed to do. Bouncer is a close second (doesn't have a long range weapon, other than the dash. Rivet gun is more effective)

I want an Alpha Series. But not just ANY Alpha Series: Delta! He's the man with the master plan, the Big Granddaddy.
When I played the add on pack for bioshock on ps3, there's a combat arena thats full of big daddies. I used enrage to pit them against each other and the rosies mopped the floor with the bouncers, considerably. though this doesn't say much for them against a rumbler.

I would like an elite bouncer and a side of alpha series please.
To me the Bouncer is the most iconic; he is Mr. Bubbles hands down.
But the Alpha series seems a better idea sentience+ability to use plasmids+ability to move quickly=a better protector... the insanity is a draw back of course.

Always a Bouncer, but anything is better than the Alpha series. They're just to easy to kill.
I found in fighting Big Daddies that while Rumblers are more fun and Bouncers are iconic, Rosie does the most damage - you have to always move to dodge their shots, and even then they still hit a lot of times. And each hit of a red-hot rivet does a ton of damage. Very powerful.
I think I'd have to say an Alpha that's like Delta; One that can use both weapons and plasmids.

The Drill is cool. but I love the Spear Gun, anyway.
Rosie hands down! He can set up traps and have pinpoint precision aiming with a freakin Rivit gun!

Bouners are the best simpily because they have always been arond. They are the Bioshock mascots and the corner stone of Bioshock(1 and 2)
Rosie for sure because it you can get to a sniping point or somewhere a bouncer can't reach, they are defenseless.
Rosies can take you out increadably fast with their rivet gun and have proximity mines...
While the bouncer is my favorite, i would definetly have an Elite Rosie. In the first game their accuracy was perfect. They never missed a shot. Plus their really strong too. So my vote is with the Rosie.
My favorite is definitely the ROSIE and that is who i'd have protect me, Maybe even an Elite Rosie, they can shift when they need to, they can toss proximity mines and they're mega sharp with a rivet gun!
All round long range fighter with a good swing at close quarter!
Bouncers are useless if being fired upon from range, Rumblers have a better chance but they're turrets can be hacked to turn back on them!
Bouncer's are the most iconic BDs so vote for bouncers
