bioshock2 2k and gfwl sucks

i just had to start an account to let you know what i think.. bioshock 2 is a great game- but its of the most buggy and glitchy garbage ive ever played- this is right on up there with gsc and stalker buggy garbage.. sp works good for the most part. other than glitchy sound. the start videos sound skips..

and mp- well its hit or miss if it will work right or all day or from game to game or not..

you people- 2k got our money- all we get is your rushed buggy garbage game- while you and gfwl play the blame game- its sickening..

well im ranked 132 global..

its just hard to get into this game- its so buggy and glitchy- works good 1 day then the next it might work a few games - then it crashes- or dis connect- or get so laggy you cant play- you move you cant move then you are across the room or something- or your gun will not change. what ever

and today- i was playing cts- i scored 1 next game it put me on the other team- my last team scored 3 more times- 1x i got the big daddy- it would not finish spawning me into it- i could not move play or nothing.. or you can be playing- 10 players- game over in the lobby sit sit and sit for another game- it kicked you from the last players or game now you have none..

i dont understand the buggy garbage-- we spend our money for this- 2k blames gfwl gfwl blames 2k.. its sickening.. it would be great if not so buggy.. it sucks.. makes me not want to play it any more .

ha ha you rush out your buggy garbage- and gfwl just totally ruins the dam game. its a shame- shame on you 2k- and its no way in the game to tell what patch version we are running either- i think im running 1001 or thats all gfwl junk will update too- ha ha its a 1002 patch out-- but this buggy crap of a game is not going to update..

and then your poor patches and no quality controls- you had to put out a second patch- idiots did not add wide screen support-- i dont have wide screen-- but point is- 2k sucks.. my mouse buttons might or might not work-- its a dam shame..

It's the weirdest thing. Start videos (logos and such) used to play perfectly for me, but suddenly NOW the sound on them skips EVERY TIME. How can this be? I haven't changed a single thing on my system that would cause this.

and oh ya-- i just love how patches on the game sites have no install instructions- you unzip its 3 files- a cab and 2 others- and no freaken instructions at all- and you do not say if patch 1002 has all the fixes from 1001 nothing..

That's because the fix lists are on the Cult of Rapture, and the patches were NOT meant to be distributed outside of automatic installation through G4WL.

ya my sp start videos sound works maybe the first few times i start the game- then its glitched after that-- mp start videos work no problems..

i set back my sound from full acceleration to standard- something ive never had to do for any other game i own.. but i guess less heart went into code for us xp users- which by the way still half the pc's on earth still use xp-- i guess they put more time into w7 or what ever coding..

i stopped playing ut04 only because of all the hack cheaters.. few are honest in the game.. but if it was no cheaters in ut04- well- id never be playing half assed bioshock2 mp for sure..

and as of now-- i dont think i want to play bioshock2 mp any more- i have clan friends that will not even try to play the game- just from reading about the bugs etc.. good for them.. 2k sucks- big time..

as a fact and now that i think about it- i said a long time ago- i will not buy another 2k game- prey mp was buggy crap too-- got awards for over lan-- but over the net was pure crap for the most part..

i had forgot about that- i did not buy bioshock1 it was give to me a steam gift and had latest patches etc.. it ran like a top for me- no problems-- i really wanted bio2-- im very disappointed.. had i remembered prey- i would not have spent my 50 bucks on bioshock 2- i should have bought borderlands- and waited for bio2 for 20 bucks- its only worth 20 bucks- or free is even better.. its surely not worth full price- my bioshock2 game is retail-- i buy retail if im going to play mp- more mod options etc with retail- or for good mp games any way.. well i buy all retail if i can-- but do have some steam games hl2 collectors and epis 1 and 2 and frontlines fuel of war and bioshock on steam.

I was complaining about how i got 27 kills and 7 deaths and my 4 teammates combined couldn't come up with the other 23 kills to win us the match. Basically I was pissed off at them for being nothing but a bunch of kill fodder to you guys.

As for the mic you can mute people. Clicking on their gamertag should show the option of muting them. Or you can disable mic chat in the settings. I believe there's an option for that as well.

I have 2 friends on steam who can run bioshock 2 MP fine. When they first released it, I know the PC version was absolutely unplayable for alot of people. It would just get stuck on the loading screen. But they patched that one. So it should be at least playable for your friends. Still buggy as hell but playable.

Well, if you really don't like the game so much don't play it. I really don't know what else to tell you. Because why is the ranking so important to you if you don't enjoy playing? Rank isn't even everything...do you honestly think people care about that? You're contradicting yourself constantly. Either you like the game or you don't. If you want help/support, post your problems on the tech support forum. The techs are generally really good at helping people out. If you'd rather just stay here and voice your opinion, don't expect anything but attempts from others to start discussion. We like to talk to each other here, and we don't generally spend our time flaming each other to do so.

I wouldn't say that. Talk to any tech support guy at any company and he will tell you horror stories about how stupid people can be with technology. I do think 2K is wrong though not admitting the game has lots of issues on consoles and pc's alike.

Why would they play the game for the MP anyway? That's not why you buy Bioshock.

The most recent person I told was my friend Derek at work today. He asked if the single player was as good as the first. His band just got back from tour so he's out of the loop on BS2 altogether. I told him it's great, he loved the first one, he'll dig the hell out of the second.

'Oh man I'm gonna get it then! How's the multiplayer? I heard it's got that now too!'

'It's trash. Freezes your 360, took me 20 minutes to find a game last night...oh and the first DLC was just an unlock key.'

Anyone that would buy the game simply for the MP will obviously be disappointed. Bioshock's basis was not MP, nor will it ever be.
MP is just a fun addon. It doesn't work for everyone but it works for me, and I like it. But is that why Bioshock 2 is my favorite game? No. I like it because of the SP.

Will you chill out? I'm not being a "fanboy" at all, and if you read this thread you would know that I'm actually a girl. But that's not the point.
I'm giving my opinion about the game, which, is a lot of other people's opinions as well, whether or not it's correct, I don't know, but you can't deny that this game was not made for its MP and it should not be treated as such.
Did the first Bioshock have MP? No. Did the second one have MP? Yes. Addon. See what I'm saying here?
So what if there is no patch? Give it time? Don't play MP? Get a puppy? Do something? It's okay to voice opinions but when one treats MP as if it was the sole reason for Bioshock's existence, then that's when we need to step back and rethink for a bit.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents.
