    Create-A-Bioshock Boss

Ok...this thread will be similiar to the ''create-a-character'' thread here:http://forums.2kgames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66179 ,EXCEPT in THIS thread, you must give your own ideas for Bioshock boss characters. Give information about your boss such as why did they come to Rapture in the first place, how have they survived while Sofia was in power, how they themselves came to be power as a boss, and why they want to run Rapture. That said, bring on the boss ideas!!

wat bout the failed big daddies alpha beta gamma. the ones b4 delta. like they could still have been alive just not properly bonded and or disposed of.

    elite BS would be nice.

or heck bring on the entire family as a scripted scene. so a bouncer, rosie, rumbler, alpha, and a BS. would have been an awesome finisher for the game.

A brute with brass knuckles, metal shoulder pads and a spiked helmet would be the rhino everyone talks about make him have a ton more health than a normal brute and insta boss.

I would love to hear how a splicer came to power. What'd they do? Splice up their brain?

    Name: Amir (Last name unknown)
Survival in Rapture: Held in a Cell, deep in Rapture, fed unstable plasmids, heavily sedated, awoken by you.
Talents/Skills/Powers: After being pumped full of unstable plasmids for many years, Amir has developed many strange powers.
Unstable Elemental Shield: His resistence to plasmids is heightened, Winterblast will freeze him for less, Incinerate! will burn him for less damage, and Electro-Bolt will not stun him for long.
Armoured Shell V2: Amir feels no pain when he launches himself using Unstable Digger it also increases his Health, instead of decreasing damage.
Unstable Digger: Allows Amir to propel himself across a room, much like a Bouncer, but with less accuracy, and more power.
Unstable Incinerate!: Throws Firebombs, which explode on impact and do splash damage. The fire is so unstable water will not quench it.
Unstable Houdini: Amir can slip into invisiblity at will, this Plasmid's will flicker if Amir enters water, will severly drain him of power, and when he stops being invisible he will discharge Incinerate!, Winterblast, or Electro-Bolt.
Unstable Sonic Boom: This Plasmid, when used, will push a target backwards, away from Amir. It can be infused with Incinerate!, Winterblast, or Electro-Bolt.

    Phases:

    Phase One

Amir will still be sleepy, and will use the Unstable Digger Plasmid until the player can take away 1/3 of Amir's health.

    Phase Two

Amir will finally wake up and start using Unstable Incinerate this will be a deadly move, and if caught in a blast will be fatal to the player. 1/3 of his health will move him onto the final phase.

    Phase Three

Amir will use the last of his Plasmids, Unstable Houdini, and Unstable Sonic Boom. Unstable Houdini will render Amir invisible, so when he does go invisible hide in water so Amir follows you and reveals himself. If Amir comes out of Houdini before the player can find him, he will discharge, either freezing, stunning, or burning the player. If the player tries to get close to Amir when he is not incapacitated, he will use Unstable Sonic Boom which, if the player is unlucky, may freeze them, and push them into a wall, thus shattering them if they are low on health.

    * It's late here, so I am going to leave this up to you guys, rate it if you want, or expand on it, make it better, I'm tired so do whatever you want with this, I'll see whats been said in the morning *

A big daddy that looks just like the NORMAL bouncer, is as slow as they seem to be in the trailers, but SUPER ****ing powerfull, and able to kill you with only a couple direct hits. As an easter egg/ amazing strategy, can be hypnotized if the plasmid is used twice in a row, and become the coolest ally ever

Assuming the game (and you) are both going by phonetic alphabet terms as far as Big Daddy names, why skip C, E, and F?

That's assuming that it uses the entire phonetic alphabet. It could use just the Greek Alphabet, but that seems less technical? I'm not sure, since he did have a Greek symbol on his hand.

I'm pretty sure they just used the Greek Alphabet(http://bioshock.wikia.com/wiki/Alpha_Series ; At the Trivia section), because when Sinclair was turned into an Alpha Series he was named Omega(http://bioshock.wikia.com/wiki/Augustus_Sinclair) meaning he was the last Alpha Series.

    Fredrick Beazely

Fredrick Beazely is a man driven mad by seeing all his friends and family become crazed splicers, sticking only to two plasmids himself, Fredrick's mind and body were not twisted by the gene modificated, but seeing raptures downfall through sane eyes pushed him over the edge. He became resigned, building weapons to defend himself "from the voices". Fredrick believes the player is one of the voices that has been made flesh, and as such he will do everything in his power to kill them. Fredrick's plasmids are limited to Houdini and Electrobolt, effectivly making him the only "Lightning Houdini Splicer" in the game.

    PHASE 1:

Fredrick will contact the player over the radio, warning him not to come any closer, however, having no other direction to go in, the player will be forcd to continue, driving Fredrick into a frenzy. Fredrick will appear suddenly, armed with a Converted Rivit Gun at attack the player. Once his health has been taken down to half he will scream and teleport away, dropping his weapon.

    PHASE 2:

Shortly after this, Beazly will plead with the player to leave the area, when the player is unable to do so, he will appear again with a converted spear gun and attack the player from a distance. Getting too close to him will result in him teleporting to the other side of the room and screaming insults. After his health is down to again, he will drop his weapon and teleport away.

    PHASE 3:

A while later, Fredrick will scream gibberish over the radio at the player, before appearing with two converted gattling guns. He will be in a maddened frenzy by now, his resistance to damage doubled, he will attack erraticly and not let off untill dead.

Alright, alright, since I've been prompted...

Francis "Deadeye" McKinley is an officer of Rapture's Security Offices. He was trusted to authorize all Security Submersibles and regulate travel before and after the war. It was ultimately his decision for the bathysphere lock down and he used his own security exception to accept override bribes and help smuggle contraband between locations that were sealed from one another. This corruption was carried out by McKinley consciously and willing the entire time, without ADAM abuse or splicing.

His "Deadeye" nickname was acquired of course as a result of his dead on accuracy with firearms. His proficiency earned him many promotions and awards, most of which he used to his own benefit. He is the main obstacle between the player and Security Bathyspheres which have access to locked down areas of the outer city. He takes shelter in the Rapture Security Headquarters and Corporate Office, a large vertical based building with many staircases and balconies.

During the players time in the large building, Deadeye will occasionally fire at him from long distances with a rifle. The only way to ward off his attacks will be to detect his position (spot the flash of his rifle scope). There are plenty of far off locations that he could be in, so this isn't always easy. It's best to wait until he fires, but the immense amount of damage that the rifle does can be dangerous, so Decoy is sometimes a good tactic to ward off some of his shots before you find him. When you do spot him, scare him off by firing in his direction or tossing a plasmid at him. You can, if smart enough, Research him during these instances with your camera for some helpful pre-battle info and damage bonuses. This is the only beneficial part of these attacks, however.

He will sometimes use his limited control over the Security detail to send bots after you, or lure you into a room filled with turrets, but in any open conflict with him he won't revert to such cheap tactics. The player won't actually have a large fight with him up until the top floor of the building, after having fought and explored their way through the entire level. At this final floor, a large open lobby area, styled most similarly to a ballroom. Large pillars litter the area (they can be destroyed with explosive, but their own initial purpose is for cover anyways), and a few stairways lead to small balconies. Deadeye will lock the door once the player enters the room, and the battle that ensues can best be described as one of the most dangerous gunfights possible.

Deadeye will cycle between three different weapons. His first and foremost common weapon is a brass luger, similar to the one that Lamb had. He'll score punishing shots with this at mid-to-far range distances. His second is a Thompson which he uses when the player has lost sight of him, as a sort of ambush. With a sustained spray of bullets, he can take down a pillar with this weapon. The third is a Shotgun, BioShock 1 style, that he uses if the player gets within melee range of him. Blasts are quick and powerful, so if you intend on surviving, it's best to freeze/stun him and quickly flee, or sacrifice a great deal of heal packs.

He'll prefer a further range away, and recover from stuns fairly quickly, so be prepared to use your weapons to their fullest potential. He can reheal at a health station, but they are located on top of the balconies, so it's fairly easy to tell when he's running for one. It is best to hack these if possible and gun him down to the lowest health possible. Head shots do an impressive amount of damage, for a boss at least, and Deadeye is most easily defeated if you yourself use dead-on aim.

Defeating Deadeye will yield his genetic key, of course, to progress through the Security Bathysphere and void the lock down, but you will also receive a new long range weapon. Deadeye's Genetic Rifle, or Genetic Research Rifle, will now be added to your arsenal. Rifle rounds are of course your common ammunition, and are as basic as being fired and causing damage. Telekinetic rounds are your rare ammunition, and when fired they pull all movable objects in the room behind them and they all strike the target who is hit with the round. The final ammo variant is actually Bio-ammo, a concept supposedly cut from the first game. In this variation, Bio-ammo has a counter that's in blue rather than white. This is because the ammo is actually your EVE, but in number form according to how many shots can be fired with your current amount of EVE. The use of this ammo is effective in the case of having low ammunition, yes, but if used with an elemental plasmid equipped, the round will take on the affect of that plasmid.

The final and somewhat more secretive benefit to Deadeye's Genetic Rifle is that the rounds have a natural homing ability to increase accuracy (and almost always ensure head shots), but it is only effective on enemies you've fully researched. This gives an extra-benefit to fully researching any enemy, especially a fast or elusive one. I think that about wraps it up for my boss suggestion ^_^

Damn Beaten, now I know why you were prompted.

Great read. I just played through that level in my head while reading. It was fun. The cat/mouse in the beginning, the multi-level chase, and the lock-down. Now that would be a great SP DLC! Would be a great addition to Bioshock.

    Big Brother

Big Brother was a splicer, who found a Big Daddy suit, put it on,and wandered into an old part of Rapture. He dominated splicers that lived there, and started using their weapons and all the other junk he could find to improve his armor. When you meet him,he is really stacked: He has a machine gun attached to his arm,a chemical thrower on the other arm and a turret mounted his back.
He doesn't have plasmids, but he uses all 3 types of chemical thrower ammo, which gives him basic elemental powers.

    Name: The Angel

    Age: 87

    Height: 10 ft 4 in

    Weight: 767 Pounds

Appearance: The Angel was a Middle Aged man who spliced his brains out during Rapture's civil war. He turned into a disfigured blob, and he desperatly looked for a way to fix himself. During Lamb's reign, he discovered the Brute Gene and Overspliced, turning himself into a Rampaging Monster. He stapled bandages to his face, and only one pupil-less eye and two tufts of hair are visible on his head. His Torso is ungodly muscular, hence he wears no shirt. His Arms are huge, and he has 10 inch razor sharp nails. His Arms and Chest are covered in burn marks and skin boils, and his feet are mainly curved lumps of flesh with webbing.

    Quotes:

    Attacking:

    "FEED."

"GraaaAAAH"*followed by pus spouting from his shoulder*

    "GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

    "HrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRNNNNGH!"

    Getting hit:

    "Grrngh!"

    "Hur!"

    "Bruungh..."

Imagine if you could have a 'Player Created Assets' system for an MMORPG and the game was Bioshock.

Set in a post Lamb era (soon so the place didnt completely fall apart) and Tenenbaum returned with the
'cure' for splicer insanity and sideeffects. Rapture is being rebuilt and its now the ex-splicers(players) vs the remaining splicers in what is left of Rapture. The BS1/BS2 content would be recycled for starting areas and players would eventually add on to that.

Your 'Bosses' could be made real for the game -- MMORPGs players are ALWAYS starving for new content and this would be a way to tap into players imaginations to make a good playable world that players didnt shutdown a month after each content drop. The creation system would allow alot of collaboration and the vetting required to block bad/poo content from being added.

You could design the terrain setting (new buildings) and fill them with the usual (and new) game props to set the appropriate environment for you Boss' fiefdom. You could define missions that players would attempt interacting ith theis Boss (and being a MMORPG the Boss would keep getting away like a batman arch-villain).
