What appealed to you the most in BioShock 2?

It's not multiple choice because the title clearly says "appealed most".
Some people asked me "what do you mean by"...
    so here are the explanations:
The "old" stuff = The stuff carried over form the first game, (Rapture, duuh. And not only that, e.g. the same model for <med-kits>
The shadow effect means the way you can now see your own shadow on walls. - I think its cool.

Just simply the fact that it was the sequel to my favourite game.

I loved everything, but the new Plasmids and Plasmid upgrades are probably my favourite addition.

ROFL loved how you had the drill in the poll. yes i did pick it. but plasmids lvl 3 was second. third would have been tonic slots. and 4th would be story.

    A worthy sequel imo

The single element that totally hypnotized me - the white flickering trail leading to Adam or vents. Superbly voiced by the little sisters

    "this way..."

    "...it's close"

    A fantastic small touch

I'm gonna choose out of the options and go with...

    SPEAR GUN.

There really is nothing like landing consecutive shots on multiple enemies and watching them stick to the walls. After the upgrades, those splicers would sail a LONG ways. I want.

The story definetley, characters come a close second

Story is the most important thing in a game for me, Games like Just Cause 2, Prototype etc are fun but dont have much of a story so i never want to play them more than once

Yet games like final fantasy 7, which obviously have bad graphics compared to nowadays, i still play because of the amazing story telling

I wouldn't know what to choose exactly.

Right off the bat I was in mostly because the gameplay was so slick; but I was really cautious about the story, which didn't impress me much for most of the game actually --not compared to BS1 anyway.

However, as soon as Eleanor got off that bed the story ramped up amazingly, leading to one of the most incredibly emotional and rewarding endings in any game ever. Not since Prince of Persia: Sands of Time did I feel so out-and-out satisfied with an ending. And I loved the way they gave sense to all those choices I had done during the game avoiding the cliched good/evil dichotomy, and going for a much more personal, believable meaning instead. I was suprised to find out I actually had been shaping up the personality of a human being all along, leading by example in the most direct form possible, which as an actual father was quite a low punch --you know, the kind of low punch you like to receive.

So that would be the story, I guess =)

The characters; I wanted to meet new people who all had stories to tell

  15. #15
I primarily loved the new additions to game-play, Level 3 Plasmid abilities among them (Eruption ability wins, good sir). Control schemes were fluid and the drill dash was just as hilariously devastating as advertised. Naturally the "old stuff" like Rapture and the audio diaries were bloody fantastic as well. I mean, come on, it's Rapture.

What i really loved was adoption. Adam gathering rocked my socks, which are admittedly pretty hard to rock, and the little sister models look much better in Bioshock 2 (making them all the more painful to harvest).

I'm not gonna even get into Sinclair. His awesomeness goes without question.

story, bioshock is awesome for morality and making you feel the emotion in what's happening. I just wanted to know what was going to happen next, i became obsessed for a little while

the way it makes you stop a moment and think..
should i kill them or shall i forgive?
can i really harvest these adorable bundles of insane joy?

this game judges you for who you really are

so in a way you dont choose the ending, it choses you..

    OOOOOOOoooooo

The multi-player. While I enjoyed BioShock, it didn't have the replay value that I'm looking for when buying a game. I enjoyed it immensely but, the style of game it is, after two playthroughs, it was just too familiar and I didn't have the interest to play it again - most single-player only games tend to be like that for me. But, with the multi-player then, there is plenty of replay value so, if it weren't for the multi-player then, I would have rented or borrowed BioShock 2 instead.

What?! I've just completed it for the fifth time and still want more, it has tons of replay value much more than the original in my opinion.

I'd vote for 'more varied roleplay choices' if that were an option, but since the multiple endings reflect those choices, I voted for that. That was my biggest gripe with the original. The black-or-white morality got on my nerves after a while in later play-throughs, so when I found out the sequel had a morally ambiguous ending? Color me satisfied.

I've beaten Bioshock 2 on both Xbox 360 and PS3. Four times on 360 and twice on the PS3 and I still want to keep playing both. Anyways getting back on topic, what appealed to me the most was the multiplayer. I am not a big multiplayer but, bioshock 2 is addictive as hell. I wish bioshock 1 would have had one

not sure if it's been said already but for me, it's the sheer size and scale of Rapture that you can see when outside! it's huge! so many places left to explore.

i can barely contain my excitement for Bioshock 3.

I'd have to say the characters. When I saw the first released footage of Bioshock 2, I loved it. The Big Sister scared me, and Tenenbaum's return was well done. I loved the characters in the final version even better.
