I have no problem with you putting your point on here, but I think you're going about it wrong. Look at that quote from a website I used earlier, they're spreading false information. You would have hit enough people to "inform" on here, and now you're inadvertently sending out some false information. You should have let it be, and spoken to 2K directly, rather than running off to the media, who'll suck the story for every drop of blood its worth. They're probably looking at this thread, waiting for Liz to reply so they can get their nerd gossip
And, having read through the whole thread, I can say that the overall impression is not one of information, but of threats
Well I sent a complaint email to corp office. I will at least try to do something about this. Being civil can work wonders.
I won't remove the links and I won't stop posting new ones so please stop repeating this. I appreciate your opinion, but I think differently and there's no point in debating this, as it's not helping our cause at all.
If you still want to discuss this either PM me (though there's no point, I already told you I won't remove them and you'll be wasting your time) or start a new thread about that to discuss it.
This thread focuses on the DLC issue. If you want to focus on the press coverage, post somewhere else.

Seriously if they are already on the disc make the unlock keys free. We already paid for the disc give us the content. Then start working on the real DLC.
For reference further 'dlc' is not on the disc, unless they've hidden it so well its virtually impossible to find among the game files. As I said when the 'dlc' was announced and others did too way before it was released also; we knew it was on the disc research a little on the forums and you'll see how many of us pointed it out. This type of cash grabbing by companies needs to be put to a halt and those of us who are smart enough to see where this type of thing will lead if its allowed to continue don't want that to happen. If your ignorant to the fact and happy to empty out your pockets go ahead but please don't defend the shameful actions of 2k in this instance, go play BS2 multiplayer and enjoy your 'dlc'.
I can't believe there's still someone who defends 2K so much and apparently thinks that what they did is acceptable.
Though I agree with you on the point that a video doesn't count as a promise (look at movie trailers, happens all of the time), I don't see your point. If you're a fervent supporter of 2k Games and accept everything they do: Fine. Others aren't as convinced, and they are voicing their opinions. Should they want to express their view with leaflets or magazine articles, letters to editors: That's OKAY, because we are all entitled to say what we think. They run to the media because publicity and an informed gamer base are the most powerful instrument we have against such business models. You think that's wrong: Well, then go your way and wait for 2k to laugh in your face when you e-mail them.
At least we try to make a change by letting others know what's going on here. If nothing comes of it, that will not prove your point, but ours: That 2k Games doesn't care about their customers.
Ooh, fun!![]()
That proves nothing! Of course DLC can be in an artbook! And, it IS part of the game, if you choose to purchase it
No, what I mean is, show me somewhere where 2K advertised all the multiplayer characters coming with the game
Then we must carry his ideals![]()
I don't accept everything they do, I just haven't seen any problems with my game. My Limited Edition game was perfect, I get no lag so I argue that it isn't a widespread issue, my Xbox freezes every now and then, but a patch is on the way, so there's no point in complaining etc. etc. etc.
And I don't think its unreasonable to ask for 4 measly dollars to get some extra for multiplayer. Although, I probably won't even buy it. Not in the immediate future anyway
Leaflets?Dude, its just a game! No need for a presidential campaign
Yes, of course 2K want your money, that's logical and makes business sense. However, I wouldn't be laughed at if I e-mailed them, and you can be sure of that. They'll laugh at you if you start firing demands at them. They owe you nothing but a patch!
I'm trying to make change, too! I've been lurking on these forums since SITS started last year, and it used to be such a lovely forum. Now all people do is demand more and more and more. It makes people like me get caught up in pointless debates like this, when I could be talking about the game itself, which I love
You think that, because 2K won't do something about this, that they don't listen to their customers? Dude, there comes a point when they just have to stop. Look at how helpful 2K Liz is on here. She does her best to solve any of your concerns, directs you to someone who can solve your problem, etc.
Just once you ask her nicely! You know, basic human treatment? Not barking demands and the like
I will be extremely shocked if 2K do anything. I wouldn't expect them to. There'd be no such argument if you all lived in ignorance. If we didn't know about the DLC file size, you'd all be happy little ignorant campers
Let's not be dramatic here. You're no paying double price or anything like it. Its 4 bucks, and its optional. The game works without that 4 bucks. If you don't want to pay it, don't
We GOT the full product. The game works perfect. Everything advertised is included. Everything else is an extra
And would you show us where they said that even though the two characters we saw in that official trailer are on the disc, they will be available as DLC later?
I'm not trying to be dramatic. I already purchased the DLC and those "4 measly dollars" don't bug me, it's the principle.Let's not be dramatic here. You're no paying double price or anything like it. @Ian: I wasn't suggesting leaflets, but if someone did it, that would be okay for me. As already stated, we can all give our opinions in the ways we think best. You and I are having a nice little discussion here, others are telling the press or blogs, others are just having a beer and enjoying their DLC. So what? No need to get personal and suggest that your way of handling things is better than the ways others choose.
By the way you chose to get "caught up in pointless debates like this". There are hundreds of other threads, so feel free to discuss other things.
They didn't say that anywhere. Everyone assumed that those characters were cut, and we've been speculating for months that they'd be released as DLC later down the line
Just because its already on the disc doesn't mean they're trying to rob you! They would have been better off just letting you download a big chunky file, and then there would have been no trouble! You're getting the same items either way!It doesn't make a difference, you would have had to pay that 4 dollars anyway, whether for 100KB or 100MB! A bit of common sense!
Let me put it in Rapture terms;
You live in Siren Alley. The DLC is like meeting a Baby Jane in Siren Alley. She's already there, and you can pay for her if you want, or maybe you'll choose not to. Its damn hell easier than having to source one from outside of Siren Alley, though. There's no point in complaining that she's already there, tainting your neighbourhood. You didn't know that she came with your house/neighbourhood, but it doesn't make a differenceIf you're gonna pay for her services, you're gonna get the same thing either way

Either way, still a low move on 2K Marin's part with the DLC... If it's already on the disc, wouldn't there be some way to unlock it with out the DLC?
