Infra red vs. Bluetooth remote control

Is there anyone else who thinks modern televisions should start implementing bluetooth remote control settings instead of infra red? The reason I believe this is easy, have you never laid down in your chair/barcalounger/sofa with the intention to fall asleep while watching TV? Well whenever this happens there always seems to be at least one object that blocks the infra red receiver so I have to manoeuvre each time I want to change the channel or select the next episode (so maybe DVD-players should do it too).

I just wonder if there are more people who think like this.

Many entertainment devices already use RF. Bluetooth is just a variation of the RF technology. My DISH Network DVR has am RF remote to take into other rooms. I suppose it's a cost issue, which is why it's not found more often unless absolutely necessary.

Oh I didn't know that! So which brands of televisions use this RF-technology? Because my next TV really needs this type of receiver...

I don't know for certain, I'm just suggesting that it's likely to be high end.

    But here's a better solution
