Bioshock Online Trophy and Sony Marsh 2010 Bug

Thanks Elizabeth for your response, i've also had the same problem as many...i hit rank 40 during the leap year bug but didn't know it until a few days afterwards, as a result the "Choose The Impossible" trophy never unlocked & i only needed that for Platinum!

If something could be done either by yourselves or Sony i know there are many gamers out there like me who who would greatly appreciate being able to get their last few trophies sorted for this excellent game.

I have exactly the same problem as the guys above...
I have also contacted you via e-mail...
I reached level 30 but never got my trophy for doing that due to apocalps3 and the only 2 trophies that i miss is this one and the level 40 one...
I would really appreciate it if you could give a fix for this...
If not, i wouldnt mind if you brought me back to level 29 so i could level up again to unlock the trophy....
Another thing you could do is give a patch that checks the current level of the user and unlocks all trophies that correspond to that level...

Hi 2k. I come here with the same problem. I reach the lvl 20 sunday night in France and haven't sync my trophies. Here i reach lvl 30 and doesn't unlock lvl 20.

Same problem here. I reached level 30 and never got the Skin Job trophy, but I just hit 40 and got that one, but no 30. I have only one more trophy to get before I get platinum (other than my lost one) and it would be amazing if there was some way to get it!! I appreciate all that you guys are doing!!

Well I'm having the same issue as the rest of the people in this thread my level 30 trophy is now gone due to the bug.

Really hope you guys (or Sony since this was there fault) can fix it for us!

Hi, fortunately i dont have the MP problem like other members here since im still level 7. My unfortunate event is in single player. After the crash i synced with psn and got most of my trophies back, except "confronting grace", "defeated the preacher", "grand daddy" and "master hacker". Since im already at fontaine futuristics playing with no vita chambers on and having defeated again 3 big daddies and hacked 30 machines, i cant seem to get them back. Is there a way for me to get em back? id appreciate the help i really want my 11th platinum ^^ thx

The big irony: it was my first time playing Bioshock 2 online... so i lost exactly the first trophies!

Its unlikely that you will get back any trophies that were unlocked the day the bug hit.

This is one of the reasons Sony advised people not to use their PS3's.

Trophies unlocked before the day that were synced to PSN will come back the next time you sync your trophies after playing the game again.

I'm not a programmer, but isn't it feasible to create a patch of the game, so as to check for trophy requirements at the end of every match?

So, everytime the game will check for ADAM levels and award the appropriate trophy(ies).

It's just like Modern Warfare 2 Special Ops mode. I copied the save file to my second PS3 and since it was my account, all level trophies re-poped when i finished one mission.(since I hadn't synced that machine yet).

I actually don't have any issues, since I play Bioshock on my slim PS3, but I really understand all the guys that have issues.

I know that Sony advised people not to use their PS3, and anyway it couldn't be used the day of this bug but unfortunately Sony advise us to late. We were all playing during the night, so when this bug happen we were connected without knowing there's a bug. We only realize it when we get a trophy and it doesn't pop up.

We ask you a way to reset or patch because we can't ask Sony to give us back our lost trophies, because they have no way to check if it's right, and if we are not claiming free trophy because stats are on your servers.

We ask for patch because some games already have retro-active trophies that check your stats and give you back your trophies (some old games that comes out without trophies and were trophies patched later do that for example)

After the PS3 bug, I have played probably 6-7 more hours and I know for a fact that I have played every map at least 4 times each. I have actually gone up 13 Levels since then from 19 (lucky I was here during the glitch eh?) to 32.

I'm wondering if anyone else that lost these non-level trophies like this one have gotten them back again, or they are having problems as well. I have read that this particular trophy doesn't always trigger right away no matter how many times you play the maps so it may just be doing that for me, but like I said I got it fairly easily the first time.

So...have you guys received OTHER trophies from MP that you lost that weren't Level-specific again? This and the LEvel 40 trophy are literally the only 2 I still need.

No, sorry ReLoAdEdM59, they won't come back, if you won online trophies before midnight on sunday and you don't synchronise it before midnight, it's lost for ever (for the moment I hope).

Looks like it's all multiplayer trophies that are affected - I got the Disgusting Frankenstein, "Mr. Bubbles-- No!" & Two-Bit Heroics late on Sunday night & tried to sync at 12:15am on the Monday & it looks like they're gone.

Finished another trial last night to see if it would give me the Two-Bit Heroics one back but no good

Yeah they did... but my problem happened exactly on Sunday, before any advice could be given!

The trophies never popped up, actually... because it was exactly when the trouble arose!

I really think that resetting our stats would solve the problem... because when you are playing a SP game, you can recover the trophy playing again...

I called tech support around 6pm central 3/3 and the agent stated that a patch is in the works and should be released within 48-72 hours. I am not sure if this is accurate, he had a strong accent and I had problems understanding everything he said. But I am pretty sure he said it was related to this PS3 bug.

I have my fingers crossed.

Single player trophies can be reattempted on a new game file, and will come back.

There is no way to go back an attempt to regain multiplayer trophies once the stats show that the requirements were already met. (first kill, rank up, all maps played, etc)

I appreciate that the 2k devs are looking into this, and I think it would be an awesome gesture if you guys could find any solution to a problem that was cause entirely by Sony. Thanks.

This is false information. Nobody from Tech Support has any information regarding a patch release.

Did you complete the match Y/N? - "Welcome to Rapture"
Did you make a kill Y/N? - "Unnatural Selection"
Did you become a daddy Y/N? - "Disgusting Frankenstein"
Did you kill a daddy Y/N? - "Mr. Bubbles - No!"
Did you complete a trial Y/N - "Two-Bit Heroics"
Did you save a sister Y/N? - "Mother Goose"
What is your ADAM total? - Rank 10-40 trophies

That "should" cover all the one shot deal trophies. Everything else can be re-acquired simply by playing the game over.

Just to play it safe, and since we dont know how this will be resolved, id like to reset my MP stats too, if possible.Although i dont have any MP trophies missing im concerned about the man about town trophy. I played like 3 matches in 3 different maps but i dont know if the bug will affect my chances of gaining the trophy.

I'm in the same boat as a few other posters here. If i had known early enough from sony not to touch my ps3, I wouldn't have, but I was playing sunday night, and my rank 10 trophy didn't pop up, and when i looked at the trophy list, the whole list was removed...it's pretty much killed the whole game for me, because I don't want to continue to play it if its broken. I know this is not 2k's fault, its all sonys, but still

I then checked if I could connect to bioshock mp, I couldnt...

then I looked up the error online and saw the warning

could my situation have been avoided if I didnt load up bioshock? or because I didnt look at (and therefor synch) my trophy list before I turned it off?

but anyway, I like to keep my trophy list neat which is why I prity much have 100% on everything (with 28 platinums); I never start any game without intending to get 100% - so you can imagine how annoyed I am...

I have the same problem as many users on the forum, I acquired the skin job trophy on the day of the March bug. I was hoping that by reaching rank 40 the trophy would reactive but sadly that was not the case. I appreciate that 2k is trying to fix this problem I wish the 2k team luck.

Also awesome job on the multiplayer. Its so similar to Timesplitters ,I love it!

no you have to manually synch you trophy information to the servers by either looking at you trophy list while signed into PSN or pressing triangle on your trophy icon in the XMB and select synch to server
