    Lightbulb First Trailer Analysis

I have done a bit of a breakdown of the trailer. Here is all the information I can figure out thus far, please add to it:

    1st scene:
Quote: Jawaharlal Nehru (Indian President); Civ: Egypt; Significance: possible sphinx wonder - definitely the pyramids
    2nd scene:
Quote: Douglas MacArthur (US General); Civ: Vikings; Significance: possible scenario depicting the first arrival onto North American shores
    3rd scene:
Quote: Not sure, my guess is Salhadin (Arab leader); Civ: Arab; Significance: possible crusader scenario
    4th scene:
Quote: Otto Eduard Leopold von Bismarck (Prussian Prime Minister); Civ: Japanese vs Chinese; Significance: samurais look insane! and possible revamps to castle and city sieges.
    5th scene:
Quote: Mao Zedong (Chinese President); Civ: Hebrew; Significance: the guy looks like he'd be Abraham escaping the Egyptians, could very well be a scenario - but the clip is too bloody short to be really sure.
    6th scene:
Quote: Eleanor Roosevelt (US First Lady); Civ: US; Significance: very interesting that they had Eleanor have a quote, it could just be for a technology thing, or it could mean that the in-depth diplomacy they are promising involves more than just state-heads meeting

That's my break down of it; definitely a lot to get excited about.

Also, there were only 4 ages in the trailer that were implied at the end where it showed the title "Civilization V".

These were Ancient, Medieval, Industrial and Modern. Ancient looking weapons for the Ancient age, Medieval looking flag design for the Medieval age, machines for the Industrial age, and then finally the binary code that flashes on the V of Civilization V at the very end for the Modern Age.

I hope there are more than just 4 ages though.

I hope the ages last a little longer. I'd love to use the Samurai's a real long time.

Could really have done with a few more accents, rather than just the one.

Yea definitely. It was all english/british accents. I would have liked to heard some that were more asian, middle eastern, north african, latin..spice it up a little. Perhaps have a similar accent to how the person who said the quote had..if that makes sense.

3 rd scene is covering Byzantium

I guess it will be in the game, and I m happy because it is my favorite faction.

The Haghia Sofia, it is a wonder.

For those who didn't understand. The Constantine I is a founder of Constantinople and he could be Leader of Byzantium. And also a first emperor who adopted Christianity.

Yea that makes sense, that does look like the Haghia Sofia, but there were a lot of Mosque towers, so I can only assume the scene is after the Arab conquer of Byzantium

I wouldn't be so sure as the ammount of towers and a crowded city looked more like Jerusalem to me, not Constantinople. And there is a well known mosque (Al-Aqsa), too.

I've just realised that I don't really pay a lot of attention to trailers, thanks a lot for this analysis! It was helpful to understand (Or at least expect something) the game.
